Jeremy Hollowell will be visiting today.

6'6", 190 lbs. small forward
Lawrence Central High Schol (Indianapolis)
Class of 2012
Rivals: #39
Scout: #23
ESPN: #38

Once considered an IU and OSU lean. I don't think OSU is targeting him much anymore. IU may still be a leader, and Purdue may be up there as well (and others).

Scored 22 over Cincy Aiken in December

many people think he is near to committing to IU. Im sure the realll crazy atmosphere today at shoemaker will sway him.

Looked bored the few times I looked over at him today. On his phone the whole time.

Recently tweeted about Gates' stupidity, too...

I seen this 6-7xs this year and is one heck of a shooter, he gets hot in a hurry not real strong and dont have great hops. He should be our top target next year but its funny went to he game on Tue. and sat the bench for most of the game.... I guess Yancy's not so Dumb after all.

Hollowell probably is going to decide by the end of the summer, so can't be a priority next year (he'll be gone).

He was at Purdue at IU on Wednesday, OSU at Purdue on Sunday

from what I hear IU is out of it, they have too many 2 and 3's already, But Purdue is the leader as of now. And for some reason OSU backed off and now they are back on him and He did not like that.

I know far more about IU recruiting than UC. I'm hearing Purdue and IU. Ohio State backed off and don't think OSU has come back at all. Keep hearing OSU is focusing on DaJuan Coleman (Derrick's son) and not another wing.

As I said above, Hollowell was at Purdue last weekend and at IU on Wednesday (supposedly wearing an IU sweatshirt and hat).

Also Crean loves his wings. For 2012, he already has a PG, a combo guard, a PF, and a C. If he has 1 (maybe 2) scholarships available, it's going to another 2 or 3. Hollowell and Gary Harris are the top targets.

To keep this back on UC, the fact that he was at St. John's game doesn't mean much to me. I really don't think he's coming here. BearcatReport.com always mentions Gary Harris too as having a UC offer (I don't have forum access, but see some of the articles), but he isn't on the radar either. Don't have the exact list/link, but on Twitter I saw Harris's top 6 or 7. UC has never been mentioned.

The 2012 class needs to add two bigs. Elijah Macon is priority number one at this point IMO. Hollowell is a good player but keep in mind we have two good wings coming in for 2011 in Shaq and Sanders. Get a Juco big with the last 2011 scholarship and at least one big preferably 2 bigs for 2012. Sure if Gary Harris wants to come you take him but I agree he is not really interested in UC at this point

IMO Garry Harris is the best player in IN. Right now, I would love if he would come to UC but I Know that will just not happen I think ND is the school to beat. But UC in not out of the Hollowell derby yet.

Not sure if they are quite as close as they were 2 years ago (when Hollowell changed AAU teams).

The 6-7 junior said tonight that he’ll choose from between Cincinnati, Indiana, Ohio State and Purdue sometime before April 8, the beginning of his AAU season.

Hollowell visited Cincinnati for the St. John’s game on Feb. 13. He also took visits to Indiana and Purdue during the season. He has not visited Ohio State since the fall.

As good a game as the Georgetown game was for Hammons to visit- that's about equally as bad a game for Hollowell to have visited for... lol

Cool to see we're in his final four but I'm not holding my breath on this one.

I think IU and Purdue are the front runners.

UC the dark horse.

Many months ago it was IU and OSU, but OSU has not been targeting him hard, so I'd be shocked with that one.

That's the buzz on IU boards, and not because they are being hopeful/optimistic

Hollowell said that Cincinnati made the final four because he likes the style of play and likes Big East basketball. Purdue made it because he has a good relationship with the staff and the players, including former North Central star Terone Johnson, now a freshman with the Boilermakers. Ohio State, he said, has been one of his favorites all along, though the Buckeyes apparently haven’t been pushing as hard recently.

But a lot of his friends and fellow top recruits are going to Indiana, and that seems to be a major selling point for the Hoosiers. He’s close with Austin Etherington, Yogi Ferrell and Ron Patterson, who are all from in or near Indianapolis and who are all committed to play for Indiana.

I think he's IU bound

UC is the darkhorse

Supposedly, despite high interest at one time, Purdue has never formally offered

OSU backed off (and have recruited similar players)... Thad would be like: 'Wait, what? I don't want you anymore.'

While I do still believe Hollowell will choose IU tomorrow, it seems that the big attraction to UC is playing in the Big East Conference.

Playing in the Big East has drawn people to UC before, but now that we are a good program again and in the Big East, hopefully it will attract more top talent.

FWIW, Evan Daniels of Scout: I will say this much about Jeremy Hollowell's decision. It was a VERY tight race. Lots of shuffling going in past few days.

No shocker, though disappointed if UC was really 4th. I mean I didn't think he loved UC, but OSU wasn't actively recruiting him and no offer from Purdue.

I wonder how much of an impact being at the St. John's game and the reaction to the team's effort had on his decision. I guess we'll never know.

I think their play after SJU and getting into the tourney and winning a game was really good.

But the fact is, IU has won 31 games in three years and gets 15,000 minimum fans. UC was playing SJU in what was being dubbed the biggest game of the year and got less than 7500 (and the crowd was dead silent until UC made a run late).

Hollowell grew up playing with a few of his future teammates and has played AAU with several of his future teammates and has been around the IU program a lot. He probably doesn't have a relationship with anyone on UC except for Jeremiah Davis.
