View Full Version : End of Season Scapegoat
Carin's Dad

I posted this in a thread but maybe it's worthy of it's own thread.
It seems the last few years we've had a player who has become the scapegoat at the end of the season. Mitchell, Bishop, Gates. It seems to me there's a pattern that's not all together connected to the player.
Is this just one more example of Mick throwing his players under the bus?

I think Yancy's actions speak for themselves. If anyone threw Yancy under the bus it was Yancy himself.

DV and Lance were both scapegoats as well. Remember, we had "too much talent" last year. (Dumbest thing I've ever heard a head coach say)

Yancy likely would not have been recruited by coach right now. He was appealing as a project in 2007, but the same comments about him now were used when he was in high school.
He doesn't fit the mold the coach is establishing.

We have a thread about Yancy. My question is why do we have a player being suspended at the end of seemingly every season.

I think the coach said it best....no one gets a pass. If someone isn't doing what is required it will be addressed.
Can't speak specifics about Mitchell and Bishop because we don't know what happened other than what has been speculated about.

You know people say things when they're frustrated. Learn to take what he says with a grain of salt. Also, he meant that in the sense of he would like to play certain players, but has limited their time due to the amount. It's ironic how he can only throw them under but never praise them. To me he is praising his players for working hard and making it tough to pick from the bunch.
Lastly, these continuous threads are so stupid. How about you stick to one idiotic thread.

You shouldn't call people names even though you think your smiley face gets you a free pass, and to get your attention I figured you'd definitely look here. You troll this board all day and I read the same garbage in 5 threads that can be put in just one.

Carin's Dad does not "troll this board." Trust me, I'm pretty sure he doesn't even like me (I make fun of Ken Pom and computers) but the guy does not troll around for the sake of causing problems. That's actually pretty bs to even insinuate.
If you don't like the threads, then don't read them. Period.

"you one of the idiots." This means that you referred to me as an *****. That is in a sense "name" calling.
FYI your post is idiotic and is not legitimate because how is he throwing Gates under the bus? Gates is uncoachable, doesn't care, whines on the bench like a baby, hardly hustles, and is causing the team chemistry to go down the crapper. I'd throw this clown under a steam roller and he should be thrown off the team never to be seen again. Also, you can't throw someone under the bus/kick them off the team and call them out unless they earned it. Mitchell, Bishop, and Gates earned it. If you think otherwise then that's your opinion and I would say if I was coach I'd be throwing him under as well.

The threads are fine just stick to one. All he does is continuously create multiple threads because it needed its own. Welcome to trolling; step 1 create pointless threads that are already being discussed.

Looking for a 3 day hiatus? All the guy said was that if you partake in a thread that you deem idiotic, then you're an *****. Even put the big ol' grin after it. C'mon, man.

Perhaps he's just responding to Mick being a lousy coach? I'm not saying that's the case, but there are two sides to every story. #2)This thread was not really meant to be about Gates. I was raising the question of why we have players being suspended about the same time we start to swoon each year.

I don't know CD - it sounds a little too conspiracy theoryish for me. I still think this might be his way of trying to motivate either the individual or the entire team. Pretty crappy timing for this mess to happen though.

Rather than ban all of you, which is my other option, how about we just end this nonsense.
