Do you guys really think that Huggs dislikes Mick these days. I know I have heard nothing but good things come out of Mick about Huggs. I know Huggs character is in question these days but he should be proud that he has a few good assistants who turned into head-coaches. Frank Martin, AK and Mick. This used to be a huge knock on Huggs. Has anyone say anything positive or negative from Huggs these days about Mick?
I do think that Martin was only hired though because he could keep Walker and Bennent(sp?). Honestly, what kind of coach are you going to get at KSU? The recruits are more important then the coach. I see Martin gone in a few years. It is not a personal knock on Martin. He just has risen too quickly from being a high school coach and has never been a head coach in college. Add to the fact he will be playing in the Big 12 along with it being a hard place to recruit and you have a good chance of failing. Just my thoughts.
A couple of years ago I read that Mick said that he and Huggins had put all of that behind them. Then I heard yesterday that there are two former assistants that Huggins still refuses to speak to. I assumed Mick was one of them, no idea who the other one might be. So to answer your question: "Yes, I still think Huggins dislikes Mick these days."

I attended a fund raiser event about a year after Cronin went to Louisville. Both Huggins and Cronin were there, along with some other college coaches, past and present. Huggs and Cronin got along fine. Saw it myself.

Nerf - you think the two are Cronin and Peters - or how about the guy who took the fall with the NCAA violations?
After reading what Mickstheguy wrote, it made me think about the Big 12. They have lost Roy Williams, Kelvin Sampson, Eddie Sutton and Bob Huggins in the last 4 years (I guess you could include Billy Gillespie, but the UK job is much better than Texas A&M). The only replacement of note was Bill Self. Is the Big 12 less attractive or is it just coincidence. Heck, Bob Knight isn't what he used to be. Rick Barnes did decide to stay at Texas though.

I have to believe that Huggins isn't having an Easter meal with Dan Peters!

Oh yeah, his Best Man. No I don't believe they're pals any longer.
Dan Peters and John Loyer are probably the two guys he doesn't talk to.
Seems to me he used to talk about Loyer and what he was up to on his radio program occasionally. Larry Harrison went to a conference rival (DePaul), could it have been him?
