The lone new conference record went to Sycamore’s Justin Murray with an extremely impressive put of 59’6.5”; this record bettered a long standing (22 year) record by Fairfield’s Stan Anderson set in 1989. GMC historian, Bob Ashby, points out that Murray's throw is the seventh longest throw in the history of the Cincinnati metro area and the longest throw ever made by an athlete from a GMC member school irrespective of the meet.

How does this relate to football?

It hardly relates to football, but it's nice seeing a UC commit being successful in something outside of football.

I appreciate that. I didn't realize he was a UC commit. Any news is better than no news.

I wanted to post in his recruiting/commit thread, but it was closed.

Agree. I think this is great news. I thought I remember people saying he would need time developing his strength. Now, I'm sure he will redshirt and take a year to develop but maybe he physically isn't too far off already.
