Once again Cincinnati area preps are dominating high school national computer rankings.

USAToday: 5 area teams in the top 16 (3 in the top 10!): http://www.highschoolsports.net/massey/Football/Varsity/Boys/

CalPreps: 4 in the top 25: http://calpreps.com/2011/ratings/National_all25.htm

(The self-anointed "expert" polls don't have the courage to put that many teams from one area in their polls.)

My point? What a recruiting gold mine UC has near campus. How much money do we save on recruiting by being able to drive to the games?

There is definitely some really good players in the area. I think we have better team than individual talent. Teams in Miami would probably lose to St. X or Moeller but they will have more individual superstars.

That's nuts!

Cincinnati HS football is nearly omnipresent in the Super25 poll. You have all four members of the GCL South in the top 25 and Colerain and Highlands giving Cincinnati area schools 6 out of 25.

It's not a stretch to anticipate one of the four in the GCL South will be competing for the state title this year.

Hopefully the overflowing talent spills into UC next year.
