I mentioned this in another post and am curious what people think.

The Big 12 seems to be losing its coaching luster. It has lost Roy Williams, Kelvin Sampson, Eddie Sutton and Bob Huggins in the last 4 years (I guess you could include Billy Gillespie, but the UK job is a step up from Texas A&M). The only replacement of note was Bill Self. Heck, Bob Knight isn't what he used to be. Rick Barnes did decide to stay at Texas though. Is the Big 12 less attractive than it used to be or is it just coincidence?

Actually there was an article here in the St. Louis paper saying that very thing. Their angle was that Mizzou's coach is moving up in stature because the rest of the B12 is moving down.

That is what one national championship in 55 years will do for you. Kansas had one in 88 and had one in 52.

Not to mention the Big 12 does not have a really good TV contract.

When was the last time you saw Baylor on TV? or Colorado? or Nebraska? etc.

Actually they're on all the time here, but I like big-time basketball better.

Let's face FSN Southwest isn't exactly ESPN/ABC or CBS
