Atta boy Bishop... Nice to see him get some recognition for his hard work. I think if Wilks had been eligible the whole year you would see him on that list as well.

Maybe so but both play the same (WF) spot. Wilks and Bishop may share it.

I think Bishop has the skills to be a good college 2-guard which would allow Wilks to slid in at the 3 with both in the lineup. I also like the development of Larry Davis so far and am starting to agree with those who say he is a diamond in the rough. If he continues to play within himself and does not try to do too much (especially when passing the ball), he will be very good for us by next year.

Certain posts on here have talked about the freshman being "hacks". But if you really watch these kids play, you can see the potential in at least four of them. Bishop has played very well so far, he looks to be a very solid player for the next 4 years, a glue guy who can do it all and will be a very calming influence on future teams. I mentioned Davis above. It's a shame that the NCAA took so long to clear Wilks and he missed a few weeks of practice or else how far along would he be. He seems to be a mix of Armein and White. Has Armein's skills and White's athleticism and is not afraid to mix it up down low. He covers a lot of court on both ends with his length and will be a star on this team by the end of his career here. McClain has showed some nice promise and is already a force on the defensive end and has showed surprising touch on the offensive end. I'd say he's farther along than Kenyon was at this point. Of course no one can match Kenyon's heart and determination.

Mitchell and Belton are the only ones who have disappointed so far. I'd love to see Mitchell play with the confidence he displayed in the summer league and Belton has not been given a good chance to show what he can do. I guess someone has to be at the end of the bench.

Of course the jury is still out on all the freshman as there has only been 6 games against low to mid major teams. Looking forward to seeing how they do against some better competition.

Bishop played PG last year in Prep School and did quite well there.

I agree he should get more minutes, don't know if 20 a night is too much right now. Like I said before, maybe getting away and playing some road games will help.

We all think Alvin could do it but he has to earn minutes...

no your right once i think about it...but still give the kid a chance to get out there and do his thing. the best way to get him going is confidence and he can only get that by getting in a game.
