I know this isn't Bearcat-related, but I'm sure most people are are having similar thoughts.

If I'm Mike Brown, and, thankfully, I'm not, I'm telling Marvin to either get new coordinators and replace half the coaching staff, or resign. The Bengals/49ers game is currently at the start of the third quarter, and the Bengals defense is absolutely infuriatingly bad. And it doesn't take a rocket scientist or even a football coach to figure out why: they don't finish. Ever. They hit their man, then forget to wrap him up, or they cover their receiver well until the ball gets there, then they give up a step. If you ask me, the Bengals defense could use a trip to Nippert to watch how the Bearcats do it.

On the other hand, the Bengals offense is confused, primarily because the coordinating is terrible. If your running game is largely impotent, why is every single play run from the I-formation!? You're not fooling anyone, Bob. Carson's going to pass, and if he doesn't, Rudi's going to gain two yard. Either run Watson and Dorsey more (and they really should) or run the offense from the gun. The Bengals, for the time being, are a passing team, they ought to play like it.

God, this is frustrating. Of course, Mike won't do jack about it, and the Bengals are going to have just one more winning season before my great-great-grandchildren die.

What you cite is the primary reason why I don't watch the Bengals this year. I hate watching bad football. Unfortunately, don't expect much to change with Mike Brown at the helm.

Yea - he is not proactive at all. In fact, he's not very reactive either. Things looked better for a while when Lewis came in, but the team looks to have leveled out. Instead of consistently 3-4 wins, we're now consistently 7-8 wins.

Oh well, we do have a good football team in town to root for now, so I'm not fretting over the Bungles.

Honestly, I really don't think Brown loses sleep over his sports team winning or losing.

Nope. Shown proof of 15 years of less than even mediocrity.

There are definate club house issues. Definate Co-ordinator issues. If something doesnt change, no point in even getting excited about next year. I have been a fan since 81, but sometimes enough is enough.

Plus I LOVE watching D (hence my love of watching UC football). I, me, could play better D than most of the Bengals. I dont have the physical ability anymore (multiple surguries on my knees from HS ball) but man you just have to use your brain a bit and play better than they can.

Chuck and Rick Hunley were fired today. I don't want to sound like Bearcat Chris, but my sources tell me Bratkowsky is next. Well, to be more accurate, my sources indicated Bratkowsky would go first, but, based on the information I received, I still expect him to be gone.
