And the top 10 reasons for a huge loss by X are:

#10 - We were looking ahead

#9 - We were looking behind (Hey - we'd never seen a Polish dude that big before the UC game!)

#8 - If we'd hit our 3's we'd have blown them out!

#7 - We have bigger fish to fry than playing these guys (ooops - used that before the UC game!)

#6 - We got messed up by the time zone change. We thought the game was 3 hours later.

#5 - Hey! Arizona is in the middle of the freakin' desert!! The sun was in our eyes!!

#4 - Where is the dude in the stands dressed like the Pope when you really need him?

#3 - Stanley says you can go 2 for 10 in a game and still act like a bad dude. So we thought we'd all try it.

#2 - Rankings?? We don't need no stinking rankings!!!

Annnnndddd the #1 excuse (works every season)

We're saving it for the A-10 tournament!!!

Honestly I dont care about Xavier. The are a good program but not great. This thread isnt bearcat related so I dont really care about it. When we beat Bowling Green then I will make fun of someone else for losing

Don't forget Duncan only played 5 minutes...otherwise they'd have killed ASU, right?

Nice job of coaching, Sean. AGAIN

OK. Set aside the fact UC and X just played and everyone is trying to gauge the progress of the team.

Consider this. ASU started 4 (four) freshman against X. I don't know the pedigree of their guys (I know at least one is a McDonalds All-American). Haven't we been hearing all year about how young UC is, guys don't know this, guys don't know that. Even the vets only have one year of D1 experience. Well, someone needs to call the coach at ASU and tell him he's got it all wrong.

When you compare these two games you have to wonder. Are the UC freshman getting enough PT? How good are the UC freshman compared to other teams? I know Mitchell was hurt and McClain has a bad foot, but I thinks its time to see more of the other guys.

Its a different situation. UC's two best freshman ultimately will be Wilks and McClain, one who didnt start practicing until late and McClain who is nursing a foot injury. Rashad came in understanding basketball so he is playing and Larry is getting more time. Our situations are not the same.

Xavier is not great but they are solid but I do not care to talk about all of our previous opponets. Why isnt there a UAB thread then? Lets move forward instead of caring about somebody elses wins and loses.

Xavier is over rated, if you look close at their so called "tough" schedule you will find that while it includes "name teams" all of those name teams are actually having down years. They have won against what is really a soft schedule. ASU will compete for last place in the PAC-10.
