Am I the only one who got a private message from "churchmouse" regarding Varez Ward being our next commitment? Teammate of Courtney Fortson (HS) and Darnell Wilks (all star team). 6'2" SG

No idea but he's from Montgomery AL originally. Not in anybody's Top 150 to 200 (but neither was Steve Logan 10 years ago).

Are the really 'private messages' if you then post them publicly?If I get a private message from someone I know saying "keep this under your hat" I will, but from someone I've never heard from before, I feel no such duty, especially since this person did not ask for discretion.

I was quite puzzled why I got the message in the first place. I'm not the one with impeccable sources like Ralph or IKnowMoreThanYou!

What about Krys Faber? His name has been out there in rumor mill land. Also with some help from Yancy Gates and finding some big body guards Tyreke Evans.

Hopson committed to Mississippi State more than a year ago but re-opened his recruitment process just before the November signing period.

Now the interest is picking up. Hopson said he's still committed to the Bulldogs but wants to take some other visits. U of L, the University of Kentucky, Tennessee and Memphis are showing a lot of interest.

"No regrets," Hopson said of re-thinking his decision. "Mississippi State is still what I am looking forward to right now. I just want to take some more visits and make sure that's the right place for me.

"I am not sure what schools I will visit. I just want to do what's best for me."

I have not heard Hopson listed with UC much. You never know though.

He wants a place where he can be showcased as One & Done (2 the NBA).
