This is just a guess.. but after watching that Deveroe's League video on youtube from the summer.. Alvin Mitchell looked a lot thinner and quicker...

now he looks a lot bigger... I wonder if maybe he started pumpin weights and got too big too fast and now his shot and balance are off

either that or he put on weight another way

either way... he doesnt look like a guy who averaged 35 ppg at all... he isnt even close to an offensive threat right now

and we need him to be... because when Deonta is out of the game our scoring options are nonexistent

Easy to put on that kind of weight eating 3 free meals a day. He needs to do more suicides at the end of practice.

This is what I've been saying since the first week of the season. I was concerned before the first game when I read that Mitchell had gained 20 lbs since he came here, then when I saw him the first game I was struck by how much heavier he looked and how sluggish he looked compared to last summer.

I thought he played a quality 4 minutes tonight. I know Mick said it in his postgame but I actually told someone that during the game. He looked more confident......although he missed his 3 point attempt, but it was a good shot selection......but his passing and ball decisions were much better including feeding Bishop in the low post middle for an easy basket.

I gained more hope for the kid tonight. I see progress.

Alot of its muscle... he still has an explosive first step... he is goes up and holds his shot in his hand too long b/c he is thinking about it and his shots are too long.. its only in games though he strokes in pre game..i think maybe the game is too fast pace for him right now in a reaction stand point not speed.. someone needs to pull him and adam aside or maybe a fan and say all good things get their confidence up.. b/c with confidence he will be a big asset.. and adam gets bood out of the gym with no talent and that pressure he will never perform.. if he is going to be the guy playing we need to build him up... not saying tell him he is good but say.. keep hustling and stuff... i think he knows how bad he is doing and he needs someone to back him up.. atleast get the best we can get out of him..false hope or something

Mick said in the post game that Alvin is trying to play through some significant tendonitus in the knees!

That will slow you down.

Good God, is anybody healthy on this team?
