Hmmm...

Anthony McClain of National Christian Academy in Fort Washington, Md., and Brandon Sampay of Howard College in Texas are two post players the Huskies are keeping an eye on. A source said McClain is likely to commit to another school soon.

Mick is the quality recruiter most of us believed him to be! Getting Calhoun to wave the white flag is a HUGE get! I see even broader success ahead with the 2008 class! GO CATS!

I will wait for the LOI, but this is obviously good news. I am cautious, but I am very optimistic for the future.

I also think I will wait til a LOI. This does sound like good news, but I've seen so many "sources" be completely wrong in the past couple years that unless it comes from the horses mouth, I'll wait.

I'm with you SLMadiCat, until it comes from McLain's mouth, i will wait and see too. But how nice would it be to have some OTHER legitimate size to go along with Adam H in the post next year!

I know this is from Saturday, but I'm going to stay cautious.

"Given the sudden defections, it would not be a surprise if Thompson makes a late charge at top-10 prep center Anthony McClain. A lifelong Georgetown fan, the 6-11, 220-pound standout at National Christian Academy (Fort Washington) was a virtual Georgetown lock before the team's frontcourt glut prompted him to switch his recruiting focus to Connecticut and Cincinnati. If McClain gets his academics in order, Georgetown would be a natural fit for the national top-50 recruit and one of the few blue-chip big men still unsigned. "

The good news is that McClain said that he already knows where he is going. He said that it is a Big East school so that doesn't help much, but I like our chances since I don't think that Gates would commit on just optimisim about McClain.

The LOI is in for Henry and UC is waiting on Mitchell. I am hoping that McClain will/has sent one in and there will be one big announcement.
