This might be good news if it uses up one of Uconn's scholarships:

The new Michigan coach granted Alex Legion, an in-state star who spent this season at Oak Hill Academy (Va.), his release on Monday afternoon.
"We have had several discussions with Alex and his family, and they have expressed an interest in opening his recruitment," Beilein said in a release. "We understand his situation and encouraged him to do so, giving Alex his unconditional release.
"We will continue to have dialogue with Alex and his family throughout this process. With his release he is now a prospect again and, due to NCAA compliance issues, we can have no further comment on the situation."
It's highly unlikely that Legion (Scout.com, No. 32) winds up playing in Ann Arbor.
"I feel that this was the best thing for me," the 6-foot-4 shooting guard told FOXSports.com
Legion said four schools that will likely be in the mix are UConn, UCLA, Kentucky and Kansas.
"It'll be one of those four," Legion said.
