Pretty much just says that he still has Miss. St. in the running but wanted to look at more schools. Kentucky coach Billy Gillespie said he didn't recruit players who were already with a school and now Hopson isn't tied to anyone. Kentucky has talked to his HS coach a couple times. I think Kentucky may be a serious player now in the Hopson race.

Hopson has been publicly questioning or asking why kentucky has not been recruiting him for a while now. Gillespie said the other day he does not recruit players committed to other schools. Hopson goes on radio with his coach and officially re opens his recruitment. Not hard to see how the stars are aligning here....

UT has offered his UHA teammate in a package deal. I think Vols have a strong chance, too.

Is there any indication that UC is still on his list. Rivals says yes, but who knows if they still are. Has anyone heard anything?

Bud is in a program right now that is highly approved my the NCAA to get through theropy or rehab and if he does become eligible I have reasons to believe he will be a bearcat and will be shocked if he isn't!

Mick also did mention last Thursday on his radio show that he is looking for someone who "can play above the rim". I don't think he was talking about an atlete but a big man as he made the comment in the context of talking about McClain and his ability to block shots. He also said that he was recruiting somewhere warm but did not give a specific location.

Maybe - hopefully, although I think he is more of a "4" than a "5" but has been an absolute beast underneath this year. I did hear towards the beginning of the year that he would not have the grades to qualify and would most likely go the JUCO route first, but have not heard much else since.

Not that i know anything for sure, but Mackey probably isn't a crack head, but just a dealer. The physiological demands on the body would suggest that Mackey only sells crack and isn't considered a crack head!

Well, I'd feel better about him as a person if he was an addict, who had to deal to feed his addiction...someone who sold a life destroying, death-dealing drug out of the desperation of a hardcore jones....a person who deals crack for profit is a scum sucking vulture, feeding off the weakness of others and doesn't deserve to share the air on my planet!

So, your statement that he "only" sells crack, or is "just a dealer" does not raise him up in my book!

Yeah, i totally agree, but i also believe in second chances......now i dont know the kid personally but, i trust that Cronin will make the right decision based on what he thinks is best for his team.

So much of sports is based on team chemistry rather then the skills that each individual possesses, so i can see a big problem with the chemistry of the team if someone is selling illegal drugs.

The only difference between Bud and XU's Lenny Brown is Lenny never got caught. XU fans always say UC should aspire to be like them.

LOL. Thats funny!! There is nothing about XU that I wish UC was like in anyway. The UC, Xavier rivalry is a good one but Xavier is not close to UC's national recognition. XU is a good mid major program that in the end, is inferior to UC's program. They will always take the back seat to UC in this town. 90% of the time the schools play each other, UC is expected to win and it is an upset if they don't. Xavier is having another good year but it's program isn't on UC's level. I admit, lately XU has given UC a run for it's money but it doesn't have that "Powerhouse" lable that UC does and it never will.
