If we are fortunate enough to get McClain who's place will he take on the roster? I think that would give us 14 right?

Does Mick have to take a scholarship or does he just hope someone wants to transfer? Does this happend a lot in NCAA basketball?

I don't like the idea of taking a scholarship from someone just because we found somebody better. That would set a precedent for future recruits to say this could happen to me. If it is common in the NCAA then I guess it wouldn't look so bad.

Anyone?

1. Unfortunately I think 1, hopefully not 2, of the incoming guys may not make grades to be eligible. Problem solved.

2. Remember that McClain just took the ACT last Saturday, so he needs a passing score to actually be on the floor next season. Although I think there is another one in June, not sure if he can retake then if necessary and still make it on the floor next season, my guess would be that he could?

3. IF all guys are eligible and McClain commits I am sure that the coaching staff has worked this all out, which includes open discussion with any player that it may impact well before now. Remember that Cronin mentioned when he was first hired and doing initial recruiting that some guys may be told that they only had one year guaranteed basically due to the situation, so if everything was up front in the beginning then I have no issue.

That makes sense thanks for the info.

Who are the possible non qualifiers? Henry? McClain? Anyone else?

I have heard Jason Henry (most likely issue IMO, although his coach at Harmony still said he was optimistic that he could get it done in the Enquirer in the last couple weeks), Rashad Bishop and of course IF Anthony McClain commits he just took the ACT. Everyone else sounded fine I believe.

However, in McClain's case he can retake the ACT on June 9th IF it is necessary due to a non-passing score from his April 14th test. Hopefully he commits soon, gets his score next week and all is good though :)
