I don't want to turn this into a Ruben Patterson forum so here's all I will say. I believe Ruben had one major off the court incident while in the NBA(It was very major). That is not why he has shuffled teams though. He has shuffled teams because he is not a star, and role players tend to switch teams on a very regular basis. Ruben by all accounts has been a good teammate wherever he has been and has served whatever role he has been asked to fill well.

Guys like Big Shot Bob Horry, Jerry Stackhouse, Kevin Willis, Brent Berry, Anthony Johnson, Bobby Simmons...the list goes on and on and on... play for a lot of teams because they play for a combination of who pays them more, who wants them more, and where they feel their role as a player will fit in most and make the greatest impact.... These are the little pieces teams try to acquire to set them over the top.

I think Ruben has turned out to be one of the better former Bearcats in the NBA based on stats. He has certainly outperformed Kenyon, DeMarr and Fortson the last few years.

Speaking of Fortson, I read somewhere that he's making something like $6,000,000 per year. If true he must be the highest paid per minute played.

Having "relations" with the under aged babysitter/ nanny will get you black marks across the league .....but obviously not enough to keep teams away from him.

Since when is 24 underage? That whole ordeal is far from clear cut. He got 15 days house arrest for a plea to attempted rape. Sound like the normal punishment for such a crime?
