Has McClain verbaled or signed LOI?

On Bearcatlair.com I noticed last night around 4 that there was a "Breaking News- McClain makes decision." Theres nothin on Gtown or UConn's page that says anything, but if you click on the link it takes you to the insider message board and a thread "McClain makes decision and BCL has the scoop" was started by Todd Cunningham. I clicked on Cunningham to see his profile and there was some post by someone entitled "Re: McClain to Georgetown." It was posted earlier in the evening so I dont know if that means anything but it doesnt seem like a good sign. Even if Yancy knows McClain, McClain has surely been to Georgetown and has not visited here so if he has made or is making decision today, Georgetown seems to be the frontrunner in my opinion

It seems that Georgetown has made a serious late charge. Once Hibbert and Green declared all bets were off. I think it is us and Georgetown as of now, but that his the school he has grown up on.

Not what I wanted to hear. I have seen a few post on Ohio States page that says he has verballed to us today. I still have seen no proff of him to us or Gtown. Gtown is really scaring me and I hope we can somehow come out with him.

I just read the same thing on the UConn board. It says how the McClain to Georgetown post was a humorous post to stir things up. This would be huge, lets hope all holds true

It says here at least one of these guys got it from Bearcatlair. There were two confirmations on McClain not just one unless they are the same person.

Todd seems to be the one reporting it and since it is on Josh's blog I will mention it now. Bearcatlair reported it and it is imagined that this is why the LOI announcements have been held up.

I guess anything can happen, but he does a great job and has also checked in here many times before.

I think this is a big signing and I hope we can build around these recruits I think it is a great time to be a UC fan. LOL... with Micks 2 month recruiting frenzy last summer (in which he did an incredible job, as he continues to do), how would anyone know what was going on? I think knowing anything last summer was pretty impressive...

If the coach or assistants said that they were finished with recruiting for this years recruits tonight, you would at least know "he's pretty confident he will sign today." If said coach had a bottle of champane in his hands at the time, one would infer a specific outcome is more likely. Reporters just put the words in the right order to make you think something.

I know it was crazy last summer, but that was in referrence to some recruits that he stated were done deals as far as committing to UC, that didn't sign and went elsewhere. Thats why I will wait until we get the official word. Alot of us here from different sources by word of mouth or different websites but they are just rumors or spectulations until that LOI comes in.

If these rumors are based on what McBride said on Lance McAllister's show I wouldn't hold your breath. I can just hear the conversation between Gates and Mullens.

Gates to Mullens, "Hey BJ I just verballed to UC why don't you think about changing your mind?" Mullens to Gates, "Okay I'll think about it."

Gates to McBride, "Hey coach I told Mullens to think about switching to UC and he said he would." McBride to McAllister, "Heck I even heard that Mullens may follow Yancey to UC."

Bearcat News forum reports it then the News Record reports it and soon the rumor gets out of hand. Or, it's not a rumor and Yancey is now our top recruiter:) I hope it's true but I consider this one low probability. Unlike McClain rumor which is high probability.

Scouthoops.com is reporting that he has signed his NLI, I dont know if this is correct but they said he is for sure a Cincinnati commitment. I am sure this is not a big shocker but more people are starting to report it so tht is good.

Should we expect a presser today announcing McClain, Henry, and Mitchell signing LOI's? He's in town so why not include him in the press conference right? Put a name to the face for the fans, get some player comments and show off his size a bit. Make a big deal out of it for some recruiting PR.
