Just caught something in an ESPN article that I thought was worth noting. Louisville become the first opposing team to win twice at Pitt's Petersen Events Center since it opened. Pitt is 94-10 at the PEC.

Gonna take a near perfect effort to win on Wednesday-- they want revenge, and they're fightin for their NCAA Tourney lives.. now 7-7 in the league with a game at the Carrier Dome looming next Saturday.
This will be a MUST-win for them...
We can't turn the ball over and we will have to outrebound them by A LOT in order to be in this game at the end

And when the 'Cats played them at the 'Shoe, they did not have Levance Fields, who will play on Wednesday. Alot to ask of the 'Cats, who really have not been playing that well lately. It seems to me that Mitchell's suspension has affected the team. Perhaps he adds to practices and his absence has carried over into games. Maybe it's just coincidence, but it's hard to overlook the timing.

Blair and Young put up 40 pts. on Louisville...I'm afraid they are just too strong inside - if UC tries to collapse in and stop the inside game, they'd better hope Pitt can't hit from outside or it will be another Georgetown.

If we can avoid the same crap that caused us to be embarrassed in DC, we have a solid chance.

I doubt the suspension of a guy averaging like 5 mins a game and from what I've heard is a really quiet young man has affected their play.
If it was Deonta or Williamson, then yeah, I'd say its affecting them. But as for Mitchell...I'm thinking just coincidence.

Not in games, but in practice. Not having that extra athletic BEast ready body in practice likely makes a difference in how the team practices, which affects how the team plays. It's more of an indirect impact on the team's game performance, but I believe there is an adverse impact. Look at the results. Even in the wins, they have not played well at all.

they have not been in a slump because of the suspension of alvin period. end of story.
anyways winning at a mad pitt team will not be easy

Play "man" instead of zone. Blair is 6' 7" and Young is 6' 6." Panthers started two F and three G against Lville. Cats had to play zone against GT so they could "collapse" and double team Hibbert. Their center must really be bad if they did not put someone with more size on Padgett. Just one man's opinion.
Mick knows better.
