Every critical or close game! Tonight it was Sikes missing 4 open lay-ups. I was very suprised that Adam didn't miss any, o wait, he missed one and I think that might have been the only shot he took. I garuntee that adam has missed 75% of his lay-ups this whole year. Even Dan Hoard and the analyst on 700 wlw said on senior night, adam made a lay-up! The people here at Fifth Third Area are shouting Alleluyahhhhh!! The whole team has probabaly missed about 55%-65% of their lay-ups all year. I'm telling you guys, this is why we lose conference games, we need to make the easiest shot in basketball, even if you are a 6'10 kid from polland, i can make an open lay-up. I am a big fan of Mick Cronin, he went to LaSalle, I go to LaSalle, but please have all your players stand in the paint and shoot lay-ups all day till they make them. You hit the square and it goes in, it's as easy as that! And if you are over 6'8 it should be even EASIER! Hopefully we can make a lay-up in the 08-09 season.

I think the reason they are missing them is they are too worried about what is behind them, not about the actual skill (if any is involved) of making a layup. The seniors aren't confident and aggressive enough, and I think it'll change next year with (no offense) real talent coming in.

Bring in the football team and have the linebackers hit them when they are shooting lay-ups, maybe that will work?

I bet you Adam makes nearly all of them in practice. His problem is he isn't athletic enough to avoid being blocked, so he has to rush all his attempts. He may have only missed one layup tonight but he had at least two easy ones blocked from behind.

Either way, I wish the CBI would come calling and all the Seniors would give their playing spot to the Freshman. I know, I know, it won't happen, but it'd be nice.

We have (had) no inside game. Hopefully that changes some next year.

Those low post guys are less talented and rush therefore making mistakes it happens sometimes guys just have trouble finishing.

Let is be over!!! Let's move on. This team can't beat anyone right now. Thanks seniors...you were true Bearcats. We are the only fan base in America that has to talk about missing layups. These guys can't play. Warren is a quality backup - J-Wil is a 10th man at Ville or G'Town. The other JUCOs are Patriot League players...Vaughn had to score 20 in a row to make it respectible

layups or not, this team while it played terribly at times, did a lot more this year than I ever expected. So while they went out on a disappointing note, I am proud of guys like Williamson who came in and endured two tough years and at least kept our program at a respectable level this year rather than a repeat bottom feeder. Hopefully the years to come bring better times!!

I couldn't agree more. Everyone knew that on a given night that the Bearcats could bite you. That is a testament to these seniors. I appreciate the foundation they helped lay and hope they are appreciated in the near future when this program is revitalized.

Ive never going to get sick of watching UC players that play their heart out. Its frusterating to no end watching Adam H and Sikes missing open layups, or being blocked from behind by more athletic players, but watching Vaughn make 12 points in a row on some ridiculous shots, and wathcing the team dive on the floor for loose balls and fight it out till the end made it a GREAT game to watch.

yea, i would have loved the W, but they played a heck of a game, and had a heck of a year. They overachieved, and thats more than you can say about many Huggins coached teams (especially towards the end). Credit Mick for everything he's done to teach these guys not to give up. Hopefully, this expereince stays with the freshman on the team, and they keep this mentaility when they get the talent to match their heart.

Vaughn is fun to watch. Four 3's in four possessions!

adam H had no buisness here. but if it wasnt for him our inside game would be non existent on D and rebounding......williamson isnt a post player, but he had to be....McClain and Belton not Ready...add all that up and UC won 8 games in the toughest confrence without a real front line.........

next year, teams will at least have to cover the paint......Yancy will be able to score downlow, Williams is better than anybody this year down low, bad knee or not.....and McClain will hopefully improve like thabeet did for Uconn....
