I'm guessing that both Holloway and Cash will be starting (at very least getting tons of minutes along w/ Dante Jackson) and this could be 3-4 years of some pretty good battles b/w 2 really good PGs.

I have a feeling the Crosstown Shootout is going to be really something in the next few seasons. Not like it's not already but I believe it is going to escalate another notch.

The article mentioned that X has to lose a guy because of scholarship restrictions. This is one of those somebody who knows somebody who knows somebody kind of deals, but the story I hear is that Graves wants to leave X and go to UC. Supposedly he is buddies with Gates. I do not know if UC has an interest, but if he leaves X that would clear a roster spot for the new kid.

First of all, Graves sucks. Secondly, X would never release him to UC...thankfully.

Yeah. I'm not saying I want Graves. I'm just guessing who might go to make room for the new kid. Part of the story I heard was the main reason X went for Graves was to get an in on Gates. Again, all third hand at best info.

graves isnt stupid, he wants to go to the better of the two teams in the tri-state area who is going to dominate in the years to come!!

Xavier giving a scholly to Graves had nothing to do with trying to land Gates 2 years later. Graves was a decent local recruit who has so far, not lived up to expectations. Graves will be the kid transferring out of the system but there is no need for him at UC with the current recruits coming in and Graves is certainly not Big East Material. Xavier will definitely have a strong backcourt again in a few years and the shootout will be nothing short of spectacular. The Ducket kid from Xavier may also be transferring. If Mick didn't have Cash coming in next year, Halloway would have been a bearcat.

I'm wondering why my post was removed??? What did I say that was so wrong?

It is generally not acceptable to say "person/coach/player sucks".

OK...can I clarify this way...Graves is not very good and UC would be wasting a scholarship on him.

I think what I read was, Holloway said he wanted to go to a top 25 team.

He wanted to start as a Freshman and he wouldn't have been able to do that at UC.

I added a sentence to The Rules about off-the-court rumors.

Graves is a pretty solid player and played some good minutes as a frosh, but he got a very severe (life threatening) blood disease or something that it seems he still hasnt recoverd from. Not implying he is coming to UC or commentign on him getting a scholly here, but he absolutely could be a solid reserve contributor for a succesfull BEast team.

One of my good friends is good friends with Sean Miller and he says that Graves is lights out shooting in practice. He says no one can figure out why that doesnt translate to the games.

Why do I find it amazing, that as long as this board has been around, the rules are still being fine tuned. I read the rules on a daily basis so I don't miss a new rule. I want to stay within the rules at all times.:D
