Looks like there will be plenty of chances for BH to get Mick back for the humiliation.... I look forward to all the future games, especially next year for BH's homecoming (of sorts)!!!

I think beating Duke (again) and making the Sweet 16 probably overshadows any memories of the UC loss.

It will be a sell out crowd with Bobby getting a standing O from everybody when he walks out on the court. Well maybe not Nancy. If that mountaineer shoots off that rifle Nancy will be streched out flat on the floor in a dead faint, because she thought someone just shot her.

Well he's got at least 11 more years to build a HOF resume. He needs the big one!

He signed a 6 year contract with Kansas State. Rich Rodriquiz signed a 10 year deal with WVU and left for Michigan one year later. This contract ain't worth the paper it is printed on.

Hardly, there will be far more boos than cheers. Sorry Ralph, I will give him a standing O when he walks in. That is my thank you for what he did for UC.

After the game starts I will be rooting my butt off so that UC beats him and WV.

The minority may, but the guys like me in my $6,300 seats and the guys in the $12,000 seats will not root for the guy who destroyed the UC basketball program with his irresponsible behavior. BTW, if you plan on attending the game you need to buy season tickets as there will be no sale of single game tickets to the general public.

I think the AP story was the first I remember about Huggs that had zero mention of UC. Good! Maybe we can all move on?

That's okay Ralph, the majority of the people that sit in those seats don't cheer for anything! :)

There may be sparse boos...there will be a standing ovation... Ralph i think you will find you are easily in the minority on this one. That being said come tipoff it will be all Bearcats all the time.

The man who destroyed UC is laughable and ironic. UC is in the Big East...UC went to 14 straight NCAA tourneys...UC basketball was in the dumps before them and has struggled since because of the sloppy way his situation was handled... He was the many who saved UC basketball and he'll be treated as such by most the UC fan base.

All this "screaming" about what Huggins did or did not do makes me wish that folks here would follow this scene from the movie, Jurassic Park.

After the dino embryo theft co-conspirator arrives at the outdoor restaurant, the "Seinfeld Newman" actor stands up in the outdoor restaurant and screams, "Dodson, we have Dodson here!!!" and when nobody responds, he follows that up with "See, nobody cares".

Substitute "Huggins did this or that" for "Dodson, we have Dodson here" above.

New details for those interested. From the Enquirer:

WEST VIRGINIA: The university released details of basketball coach Bob Huggins' new contract. He will earn at least $20 million over the next 10 years, with incentives that could add thousands more. He will earn about $1.5 million this year.

The deal stipulates Huggins, convicted on a DUI charge in 2004, can be fired for substance abuse or habitual intoxication affecting his job performance. A West Virginia spokesman said it's a standard clause in employment contracts.

Yes they have! On the court with their performance in game situations for the past 2 seasons!;)

Oh...and ralphie...before you chime in with that WVU score....lets look at the records for last season so that we can appreciate the context....

BTW..since Belmont beat UC, does that make them better than WVU?

I would cheer Bob Huggins at the Shoe the first time he is there for for the first few minutes. I think in all of these polarized comments that it is missed that there is a grey area. (I think) He earned some respect from us and deserves to be thanked and cheered for that. I also believe that he should get no more because once the game is started we have a new coach that we get (have - depending on your view) to move on with.

If you want the program to succeed I really think that you have to get over the Huggins vs Nancy thing. If you don't want to then that is your prerogative and I understand your rational behind it, but I don't think that Nancy or Mick are going anywhere for a while so for the program to succeed then the past has to be overcome.

So Belmont owns UC? That's head to head ralphie......

Who else is Cronin's "daddy"...shall I list every coach? Or just run down each school? No....I think I'll just hit the highlights from last season (the ones that stand out, I'll designate in red):

I count 19 "daddys" in that list ralphie...is that the same number you get?

You know...The Indians beat Custer....The U.S. was bombed at Pearl Harbor...and attacked on 9/11....The South won at Bull Run...

I wouldn't say any of those victories was meaningful in the bigger picture. But cling (if you must) to a single game--are you going to keep singing that refrain next season as well? If so, I have a cracker for Polly....;)

BTW...I'm still waiting....or....should I assume you don't stand behind what you type?;)

It isn't so much Huggins vs. Nancy...it's Nancy vs. the alumni--that has a lot more meaning to me than her detonation of the basketball program. BTW...I don't think she'll be here that much longer...
