I know ron allen is listed at 6'9" but I don't think he ever looked that tall and I don't really count him cause he was kinda a "freebie" that never saw much playing time anyway. Other than him who was the last uc player that was 6'9" or above.... i really can't think, was it little or grove??? we had to have had one since then.

Didn't Grove play with Whaley. Not that either one of them played very much. Other than that nobody comes to mind except Kenyon Martin!

Donald Little was probably the one who most recently saw the most playing time. We have had guys over 6'8" since, but none that played much. At least that I can remember.

It's amazing how well the players develop over time. Guys like Fletch, the helicopter, Brannon, etc really came on their final year. I hope we continue to have success recruiting in h.s. We rarely get the bang for the buck from the JC transfers.

Regardless of the past success/failures of JC transfers, Mick would probably prefer to never have another JC kid. Good programs dont need JC kids because they are always getting quality HS kids.

I agree with that. We did get some good ones tho. I have a LOT of confidence in Cronin, and I think two or so years from now will be fun.
