10 straight national champion ships and we catch Kentucky for most wins in the Tourney! Although they will then have double the losses we have:p

Kentucky would have to go winless in that department too for that to happen :p

I would not shed a tear if Kentucky went winless or failed to make the Tourney at all.:D

It would be hard to count UC out of the top 10 basketball programs of all time at least as far as the NCAA Tournaments are concerned. We also are on the top 25 list for all time NCAA wins.
UCLA, Kentucky, Indiana, Duke, NC, Kansas are probably the top 6 D1 basketball schools of all time. After that it probably depends how you look at it but it would be very hard to not include UC in the top 10. I would count UC and Louisville in the top 10 basketball schools of all time by virtue of being in the top 10 of National Championship titles, top 10 Final Four appearances, top 10 Final Four wins, top 10 Final Four games, and top 25 all time D1 wins.
There are many other schools who come close and some that are just a little shy in one category or another. NC State, Oklahoma State, Florida, Uconn, Mich State, San Francisco all have 2 Championships which is tied for 6th with Cincy. Ohio State and Michigan each have one championship and a lot of Final Four wins as well as some other schools like Georgetown and Arkansas.
Who is in your top 10?

My 7-10 would be UC, Ohio St, UConn, and Mich St (no particular order) with Flrida just on the outside the top ten just because of consistency over time. In the end Fla may jump ahead (actually in the near future with Billy D). I believe this would be a shared opinion by anyone who does not have UC in their hearts.

Other than Louisville missing I couldn't argue much with your list.

UC is in Top 20 (high teens) in both Most W and Best W-L (%) Record in D1.

Thanks for the additional info 1958. More ammunition. I wonder where we stand in terms of most all americans and most conference championships? Anyone?

Here http://mbd.scout.com/mb.aspx?S=48&F=1030#S=48&F=1030&T=482574 is a link to a chart that shows UC 9th best (ever) in NCAA tourney results.
I'll have to dig up some information on UC A-A and conference titles.

All time AP rankings(a little old - through 2001):
Weeks at #1
1. UCLA 119
2. Kentucky 84
3. North Carolina 76
4. Duke 72
5. Cincinnati 43
6. Indiana 41
5. Kansas 35
Here's a surprise. Louisville has never been ranked #1. Not one week (through 2001)
