Per Bill Koch:

Eddie Tyree, a 6-foot guard who played the last two years at Thomas More College, has transferred to UC and is expected to be part of the UC basketball program this year. Tyree, from Canal Winchester, Ohio, played in 17 games last year for Thomas More and averaged 2.5 points. He made 16 of his 26 shots from the field. Tyree has to sit out a year, but is allowed to practice. He will not be on scholarship.

Necessity? Every team adds walkon's. It helps with practices.

Seriously. He's just the next Meeker. This barely warrants mention.

Hopefully this team gets to where they can play the "next Meeker" in mop up play.

Keyword: Walk on. Not a scholarship player so no reason for anyone to question Cronin's decision-making. And this is way OT but, I was on the same elevator the other day as Bishop and Davis and Bishop is huge! The guy is just pure muscle like i couldnt believe. Ok sorry to get off topic

We need someone to take over as the walk-on once Branden Miller graduates.

I think this joke (never was funny) has run it's course.

Ralph told me that Tyreke Evans is going to walk on.

He is going to walk on the stage at the NBA Draft next spring after 1 year at Memphis.

Seriously? He is a freaking walkon that every team has. Did you rip Huggins when he had Meachem, Meeker, etc or are only BIG time coaches allowed to add walkons who have no business being D1 players? What a joke.

Practice walk-ons are there to be made fun of and then praised for helping the team be better. We've had them and loved them as far back as I can remember.

Walk ons are to be applauded - they know their role, and any PT is a bonus. Like it was said before - they are the human victory cigar.

Seriously man, get a life. I think I speak for nearly everyone when I say, if you are so enamored with a "Big time coach" go take your "allegiance" else where and root for a different team.

I come to this site to get news on the program, not your sarcastic editorial. Please keep that to yourself or go post it on a West Virginia board.
