Tony Woods Visit?

I know Josh put that Tony Woods might visit UC and now Bearcatlair is saying a 5-star who is being recruited from everywhere might be visiting UC. He is big strong and looks to be more athletic and physically strong than biggie. I am wondering if anybody knows if he is visiting and if we have any other information on him.

Not so sure about him being strong yet, saw video on Rivals where he looked VERY thin and he is listed at 6' 11", 215 pounds, no big deal as kids need to grow into their bodies some, just saying.

I heard he has no favorites but that Florida and UC are recruiting him the hardest. They say he really likes coach Davis.

He's a top 15 recruit on most recruiting boards.

And for some reason it seemed like Mick was not as high on forston as much as Boast or Walker. I really think it will be Walker due to the previous connections to his high school.

Fortson was 6A (biggest schools) POY in Alabama this year and will prep (somewhere) next year. He's VERY good PG but so are the others named.

I know it's a pipedream, but if UC lands Tony Woods, that low post is going to be something special in a few years.

It may not be a dream, it might be reality. If the kid is making a visit I would think we would have a realistic shot of landing him. Woods and Gibson may not come but do not think we dont have a chance. Not all college kids want to play in their own backyard. If we land either of these kids, and of coarse Morgan is apart of this mix as well, we will be set with our biggins.

My point related to Mick's comments on recruiting in the article with the Cincinnati Post. I think he said that to get 6 guys you need to recruit 20 players along with a parent and a coach.

So of the twelve I listed will we get 3? I say yes.

If Mick were to land Woods I would go crazy, with that said it's a longshot...however we should land Mitchell and Bost or Walker depending on who Mick likes more. I expect us to wind up with a good Juco center or get in late on a player who might have qualifying issues, for the past year or so Mick has managed to get close/or close in the late signing period ie Tyler Smith, Hernol Hall, Thabeet, and McClain, I wouldn't be suprised if we waited to fill our last scholly if its a no go on Woods, Morgan, or Thompson, all 3 of which have Cincy offers I believe. Either way 2008 is going to be a monster class...

I'm not sure if you noticed this Waterhead but whenever there is a pay article on a player in the Recruiting Section of this site Mike Ryan only puts a link and doesn't include anything in the article. Be careful because it's illegal to copy and paste the content of a pay article. I learned that lesson the hard way myself.

Thanks for the advice. I don't subscribe to any pay sites so I copied this article from another source which I thought was public domain. That source was a message board but I don't want to draw any undue attention to the poster if they are going to get in trouble.

Again, thanks for the heads up and I'm sorry if I posted something that came from a paysite. I don't want to be that guy.

The interesting thing is, if you read various stories off pay sites, Woods (top 15) and Mitchell (top 60) say things like "UC has been recruiting me the longest" or "I really like Coach Davis, he's recruited me really well"..........so, it gives you hope that Mick and the boys can possibly get it done. To have Wilks and Gates already verbal, and then imagine Woods and Mitchell verballing would be an incredible class. A pipedream yes, but if it did happen......I wonder how many of the naysayers will start to swing to Mick's side?

Ok, ill be "that guy" from what I know and have seen it said florida and uc and recruiting them the hardest. It said we have a good shot. Look at the big east forums and UC and click the tony woods story somebody posted it there.

Woods has not said UC is a favorite, but he did say he liked coach Davis and that UC and Florida are recruiting him the hardest.
