With only one recruit verbaled, it's not as big a day as in years past but it will be nice to finally hear Mick comment on Kilpatrick. Anyone have any idea when his LOI is expected?

I hear Mick has 3 secretive recruits up his sleeve that are going to sign in addition to Kirkpatrick. Two of them are 7'-10" and the other is a PG known as "Flash".

With Aldridge gone, and the uncertain status (per previous threads) of Belton, how many openings are there for Mick with the 09 class potentially and as we stand now?

Flash? I hear that guy is not only the fastest PG around but he is also 7'-0".

I'm guessing 0 scholarships are available.

but there was concerns because:

1. He may have played on a Polish team where some players got paid (not him).
2. He may have used up eligibility playing in Panama
3. He cannot speak English and has yet to qualify on the SAT or ACT.
4. He has a bone spur that may hurt his running
5. He is rehabbing a knee injury

8. The two seven footer tens are nicknamed Biggie 1 and Biggie 2 and have already been proclaimed by Doss to suck.

Zagsblog is reporting that Lamont Jones from Oak Hills is looking at UC (but with Va Tech his favorite). He's a 2009 PG recruit. Is Kilpatrick not a done deal? Mick keeping his options open?

Per Koch, Kilpatrick signed on Wednesday and Mick got his paperwork today. Mick said he is a great scorer and a great player w/great instincts. Said he scored 35 in his first game this year.

I sat next to Sean at the Fan Jam. Very nice kid, very excited and all smiles the whole time watching the scrimmage. Was fun to talk to as well. His family apparently owns a Cuban Restaurant in White Plains, NY. Not at all relevant, but I found it interesting and ended up talking about food with him almost as much as basketball.

I did ask him where he sees his game right now and he pretty much said he would liken his game to a Rip Hamilton style, shooting off of curls and screens. He seems to know that he needs to work on his handle a little bit, but it was nice to hear a highly rated prep school player admit there may be a flaw in their game AND be willing to work on it.

As always, I will wish Sean the best and hope he turns out to be a solid four year Bearcat.

UC website still has no press release on the signing.
