I am not worried about losing this game but I dont know that we will beat them down. I imagine Mick will have them ready to play.

Honestly I Hope we blow them out, but this team struggled to put away NKU when they where down and out.

A couple things in UC's favor versus USD that they didn't have against NKU:

1. NKU slept in their beds and traveled 7 miles to the game. USD will be on the 2nd leg of a trip that takes them from Cornell tonight to Cincy for Sunday's game.

2. NKU often ran 4 guards and a small forward in an open-post motion offense. That forced Biggie, Yancy and Toyloy to chase their tails all over the half-court. USD has size much closer to the teams of the BE, but without the talent or quickness.

USD is an experienced team that went 22-7 last year in D2. But, this isn't D2.

UC rolls, 77-49.

At first, I thought South Dakota would keep it close in the range of 10-15 points. However, they lost to Cornell tonight 79-69. Given that, I will go with a 85-55 Bearcat victory on Sunday.

I see a 83 - 68 victory for the Bearcats. I'd really like to see a strong rebound effort. Something like +7 would give me confidence in our big men.

UC wins 81 - 57. This is the first year of D1 for South Dakota.

i think the cats will start slow then put the pedal to the medal in the middle of the game and cruise to a good opening win

i would like to see the following things:
1. larry davis not getting beat off the dribble so he can get minutes.
2. alvin mitchell attack on the offensive end with some confidence.
3. see more from biggie than he has shown in the first two games (not knocking him. just want to see more.).
4. see how mike williams ability to shoot from the outside frees up biggie, yancy and toyloy on the inside.
5. a bearcats win. come on boys. lets start the season off on the right foot. you are expected to win this game. win this game.
