With #4 UCLA's loss today to Michigan it seems that MSU will move to #4 and Pitt should move to #5 and join Connecticut and Louisville in the Top 5. Has any conference ever had 3 in the Top 5 at once? That'd be a great achievement, the Big East is VERY tough this year.

Louisville should not be in the Top 25 much less the Top 5. Most overrated team in the USA.

You heard that from me. ;)

Seriously, no quality play at PG and the heart and soul of last year's team is gone, Padgett.......not to mention they only have one returning low post player and the rest are frosh.

Yet you hype up UC? I think UC will do good things this year but they don't have a true PG, and only have one returning low post player (Biggie). You guys are crazy if you think UL shouldn't be top 25.

The Big East conference is, without questions, the toughest and deepeset conference this season. Seven teams are ranked in the top 25. It may be the most stacked conference ever in the history of college basketball. UC will have a tough time competing for a chapionship this season, not to be pessimistic about the team but due to the strength of the conference.

I agree with ya zhsesq, i think next year will be the year we compete for the title. We will bring back everyone and much of the Bigeast will lose some big time players.

without any research, i'd bet the ACC has had 3 teams in the top 5 at some point. any guesses if/when UC can crack the top 25? if we win the ones we are "supposed" to, which game becomes the one that puts us in.

Don't look now but the BEAST just got a little stronger with Seton Hall's win over USC.

Seton Hall was the same team prior to beating USC, but the better other BEast teams do, the better it looks when UC beats them. Plus, I hate USC (although I hate Gonzo too).
