For those of you with ESPN Insider:

2008 rankings (http://insider.espn.go.com/ncaa/recruiting/insider/news/story?id=2871159)

Cincinnati is 5th. The comment is that things look great for the Bearcats in 08. OSU is 1st on the list and Xavier 12th.

(this list is teams getting off to the best start in 2008 and not best classes)

2007 Winners and losers - (http://insider.espn.go.com/ncaa/recruiting/insider/columns/story?columnist=carroll_john&id=2872147) forgot the link

Cincinnati is a winner.

Mick Cronin endured a long year on the bench at UC, but help is on the way after landing several players who should be able to help them right away. 7-0 center Anthony McClain (Fort Washington, Md./National Christian Academy) should bring immediate help and help the Bearcats compete on the inside in the Big East. In addition, they added 6-6 SF Jason Henry (Cincinnati/Harmony Christian) and 6-5 SG Alvin Mitchell (Ft. Lauderdale/Cardinal Gibbons).

Also winners - kentucky

I know Thad has another incredible class coming in, but it will be interesting to see if he can keep it up. He seems to be living off that Elite Eight run he had with Xavier. Other than that, I'm not so impressed with his coaching. Everything he's accomplished at OSU has been the direct result of having great players.

If Mick can show he's a good game coach and surprise people this year, the state of Ohio is going to become a force a college basketball with all the talent at these two programs.

I think he did an incredible job last year winning the big 10 title with the team that they had there. They lost in the 2nd round, but the coaching job was very well done. And if he keeps getting the talent in there (he just got the probable top Ohio player in 2010 for OSU) then we will never know if he is just living off the talent.
