OT: Bill Koch Is A Hack

While nobody will deny many of the truths in Bill's Enquirer articles from today, including Coach Cronin or Coach Kelly. It is all about how you present things with a positive forward looking view, of course you have to want UC athletics to thrive to approach things that way and these media smucks seem to like slamming UC whenever they can. I guess if they feel some part of keeping UC down then maybe them makes them feel better about their small you know what or something.

Case in point of men's basketball attendance and something that he chose to couch in a purely negative light IMO. If you look at the actual attendance numbers from last season I am rather surprised that UC was able to average what they were in the Big East relative to other teams while going through a bottom of the barrel season like they did and still dealing with some Huggins fallout garbage. I will be worried if fans don't come back in much better numbers this year when the team should at least be much more exciting to watch and likely will win more games.

I moved this to the general forum because the series of articles that appear in today's Enquirer cover many sports, not just basketball and I suspect posts in this thread will touch on sports other than basketball as well.

I found this quote (below) startling. UConn WOMEN'S Basketball has more revenue than UC MEN'S Basketball???

In an average year between 1991 and 2005 UC finishes 5th out of 16 teams in the league with 3 of the 4 teams ahead of them having much larger capacity arena's.

Patience - UC is back on track and you will see attendance average over 10,000 this season, in my opinion.
