Seven of us bought the 4-game packs that include the Shootout. We're sitting up top, but just excited to be there.

I have season tickets, but I did a search and it appears all single game tickets are $40, unless I didn't read it right.

It looks like they have seats as close as the seventh row available.

Some people are going, the loyal 6,500. George Wilson went on the post game show on WLW radio last night and pleaded for Bearcat fans to come to the games when football season is over. Cincinnati is now a football town, we love our football, pro, college, and high school. We love our Reds. We are no longer so keen on college basketball at the present time. I have no doubts that the Crosstown Shootout will be sold out but it will not be until the Big East Conference games begin that fans get all that interested in basketball. Times have changed. UC may have to consider in the future not scheduling any home basketball games until December 1, when the regular season football schedule is complete. You could tell from Saturday's basketball attendence that fans are not too keen on basketball/football double headers.

I couldn't agree more. Our fan base, that just 3 years ago was selling out The Shoe, has diminished. I hate to say it, but until we get back the the "Huggins-Level" of basketball, these measly 7,000 person attendace rates are going to continue.....hopefully next year is when we get back to "Huggins-Level" from a wins/losses perspective

The early season games never sold out in the Shoe.

Xavier's next 3 games: Miami(OH), Auburn, Ohio. Meaning that they should be 6-0 and close to a top 10 ranking. Sounds like upset city baby.....

Ok, fair enough....but I never remember sitting in my seats thinking "It looks like attendance at a high school game"

IF VAUGHN IS ON HIS GAME, UC BY 10. X'S YOUNGER GUARDS WILL NOT BE ABLE TO GUARD HIM AND IT WILL CAUSE THE REST OF THEIR TEAM A LOT OF HEADACHES TRYING TO HELP OUT. YES, DV IS THAT GOOD.

DV and MW need to get to the FT line alot. Give X some of their own medicine. They always seem to shoot like 30-40 FT's in a game.

I agree, it has been pathetic this year. Some is due to the football success, but I'd still expect more as there is more excitement this year. The economy and $30 cheap seat tickets doesn't help.

I saw that too. No inside info, but watch Crawford get eligible for the shootout. Without Holloway, they will struggle when playing good competition.

Crawford probably wont play this year, I saw somewhere that he has to cleared by the NCAA as well as Indiana in order to play this year.

A friend who is a big X fan told me Crawford lost all hope in getting eligable this year, because Indiana was cleared of pretty much all wrong doing and they hit Sampson with most of the penalties.

The only way Crawford could have been allowed to play this year would have been if Indiana had received a penalty of being ineligible for the NCAA tournament. It is a long standing policy of the NCAA that the one year sit out rule will not be waived because of a coaching change.

The biggest I remember was 1965 when UC won by 30 or so despite having its worst team (14-12, I think) in many years.

X was getting beat bad with West still in the game. They actually did better without him in the game.
I jst remember him beaing such a sore loser for that game "We would have won that game if I hadn't got hurt"

West was in tears and we were up 15 when he went out... It was a blowout when he was in.
