Let’s say UC goes 11-2 before Big East play.......how close are we to the top 25?
What if somehow we go 12-1 before Big East play?
I know it's early but I just wanted to see what my fellow bearcat fans thought.
Please don't rip me with stuff like "it's way to early to be thinking like this" or "lets focus on XU", because were not the ones putting a jersey on.
As a fan I’m just speaking hypothetically.

UC goes 11-2 or 12-1 heading into Big East play - they will be in the top 25. 12-1, which would include wins over XU and Memphis would probably put them in the top 20. Hypothetically speaking of course.

I agree. The UNLV win looks nice too. As long as UC beats either Memphis or Xavier, I think it'll be pretty close to the Top 25 if not in it....
That said... I'd rather beat Xavier than Memphis any day.

Back in the final four year (91-92???) it took us a long time to get ranked. Once we broke into the rankings we moved up slowly. I think we are in a similar situation now. I'm not saying that we are a final four team. I am saying we are off the radar and must earn the right of being ranked. GO CATS! BEAT EGGAVIER OF OHIO!

I agree that if we enter BE play at 12-1 we will be ranked, albeit barely because UC Basketball has been off the media radar the past 2 plus years. It will take more time than it should to earn back the media's attention. If we are 11-2, i do not see us being ranked, but maybe getting some votes.
Winning the Shootout would def. open some eyes, including Calipari's....whose bricklayers couldnt hit a FT against Eggsavier.

I don't personally believe they will break the top 25 this year. Obviously a lot depends on what other programs do, but I think if they go 11-2, its going to be very close for sure.

I think 12-1 in the OOC gets them a Top 25 ranking (more specifically 20-25). If that happens, they will have beaten 2 Top 25 teams (Xavier and Memphis) and 2 Top 50 teams (UAB and UNLV) and Miss. State. If they beat X next week, they will get some votes.

The Bearcats would definitely be in the Top 25 with a 12-1 record going into Big East play, because the Bearcats would have wins over two Top 15 (possibly Top 10) teams in Xavier and @Memphis, and wins over name schools like UNLV, UAB and Mississippi State. If they go 11-2 still a good chance because UC would have a Top 25 win over either Xavier or Memphis at worse, or possibly both if the loss came from another place (like Miss. St.)

I think we lose in a close game on the road to memphis but we can beat them! I think xu is a toss up but to win that game we gotta shoot better then we have been from the stripe, play better D and stop turning the ball over, we get too sloopy at times and getting sloopy in a big game against x will get you in a whole quick, this team prob won't get out of a hole against xu! I think we beat Miss st in a close game as well! so I say 10 wins out of con is a good bet, I stick to 18-21 wins this year!

Have u seen XU play this year? They are as sloppy as we are,as is Memphis.I think that's because they, like UC and many other teams, are experimenting with pg's.
I try to watch or at least check up on ALL teams we play, even the ones looked at sure wins. But i do feel we can beat any team on any given day,but also we can also lose to any team as well.

UC's only loss is to Florida State - a team that may crack the top 25 this week.

Fla State beat Florida last night as well. Florida was ranked 21st right?

Florida was ranked 21st right?
I know they were ranked, but unsure where, 21 seems about right if I remember correctly.

I think IF is the key word in that post! IF UC were to win the rest of their games this year I'm sure they would be in the top 25 this year and I am seldom wrong.
