Mick was on Tim Lewis' show this morning on 1530 Homer. When Lewis asked Mick about Alvin Mitchell and Anthony McClain, Mick was very optimistic and had complimentary things to say. When Lewis asked Mick about Henry, however, Mick began by saying that Henry needs to get his academics in order, and then reiterated a few times that Henry needs to become more mature, focus on his academics, etc. I'm bummed to say it -- and I hope I'm 100% wrong -- but it doesn't sound good for Henry.

I'm guessing Mick can't say these things directly to Henry, so hopefully he'll read or hear about this and get his act together. But there's only a couple more days of school left so his finals must be crucial.

Doesn't sound good at all. If he doesn't have his act in gear by now I don't think Mick's words are going to change his attitude. I'm sure he is well aware if he doesn't have the grades he's out of luck. I don't know why but I never got a good vibe on this kid from the beginning. I hope I'm wrong too and he can make the grade for his sake. If not it sounds like Mick has the contingency plan in the works. Maybe it's a blessing in disguise. Don't want to count him out though so good luck to Mr. Henry!

All I want to say is good luck to Mr. Henry.
If he doesn't get how important academics are it is better for the Bearcats lose him now then have him start school and lose him after he enters UC.

He can say them directly to Henry, as long as Henry calls him and not the other way around.

This is possibly a silly question, but I have never seen it asked/answered previously. If one goes to prep school, and does not qualify academically, is there the recourse of a "summer school" to pulls ones grades up to a presentable level?

If an incoming player is ruled ineligible, is there any way Crowell makes his way back on to the roster?

He's already headed to Fort Lewis College (D2) in Texas.

Unless there is a worthy transfer to give the scholarship to, I see Mick holding it for '08, giving us 6 schollies for '08.
