Let's try to explain this differently so that everyone may understand. If I seed each current UC player and assemble a Bearcat Championship Series tournament played entirely "one-on-one," who stands alone at the end? These are my seeds:
1. Deonta Vaughn
2. Mike Williams
3. Yancy Gates
4. Alvin Mitchell
5. Rashad Bishop
6. Darnell Wilks
7. Steve Toyloy
8. Dion Dixon
9. Anthony McClain
10. Larry Davis
11. Branden Miller
12. John Riek (I know he's not active, but he'll play this year)
Feel free to bash my rankings...
I like Williams versus Wilks matched up for the championship with Wilks coming out on top. Just too athletic for Williams to handle.

I like what you trying to do but I dont know if your explaining it well enough.
I would take deonta, obvious pick but it is the right one.

Yancy Gates
He could score at will against someone like Deonta.

I would rather listen to Nancy Zimpher talk for an hour about liberalism in America than try to figure this out....

I think what he is trying to say is that it would be like the BE tourney with seeds, but with UC players. Vaughn, Williams, Yancey, and Mitchell would get byes, and all the others would play first fround games. I think it would be Vaughn and Williams in the finals with Vaughn winning.

I would have to go with Deonta on this... He would be to quick for the bigger guys to contain driving and then he would go for a drive, step back, and drain a three... I think Rashad would make it to the final four along with Mike and Yancy...

So, I give the top 4 seeds a bye...
(5) Bishop beats (12) Riek
(6) Wilks beats (11) Miller
(10) Davis beats (7) Toyloy
(8) Dixon beats (9) McClain (no contest)
Then
(1) Vaughn beats (8) Dixon
(10) Davis beats (2) Williams (too much quickness and outside touch)
(3) Gates beats (6) Wilks (a big freak of an athlete beats the skinny freak of an athlete)
(4) Mitchell beats (5) Bishop (the best matchup, very close)
then
(1) Vaughn beats (4) Mitchell
(3) Gates beats (10) Davis (Cinderella goes home)
(3) Gates beats (1) Vaughn (Gates athleticism allows him to guard Vaughn effectively enough while Vaughn can't handle Gates down low at all).
Winner - Gates

Hey jbreeds.. I like the idea.
Unfortunately most of the people on this forum are too dumb/lazy to figure it out.
Deonta vs D Wilks in the final. Close game but Deonta would wet him.

Okay, seriously, could Deonta ever stop Yancy from scoring on him? Deonta could eventually miss a shot, but Yancy would dunk every time.

But what if Vaughn never faced Yancy? Could have been upset by bracket buster Larry Davis :D

You gotta love quick small forwards and big 2 guards in a one-on-one battle. An ability to shoot the ball from anywhere and quick hands are essential. Wilks takes the cake fo sho.
