CINCINNATI -- A former interim University of Cincinnati's head men's basketball coach was arrested early Thursday on an assault charge.
A complaint filed in Hamilton County Municipal Court states that Andy Kennedy "punched victim with a closed fist while shouting racial slurs."
The victim was a cab driver.
No other information has been released so far.
Kennedy was named interim head coach after Bob Huggins was fired in 2005. At the end of the season, Mick Cronin was hired as the head coach and Kennedy become the head coach at Mississippi.
Kennedy is in Cincinnati because Ole Miss plays Louisville in the SEC/Big East Invitational doubleheader at U.S. Bank Arena. Thursday night.
