What's troublesome too is that a whole lot of games go over 2 hours any more and they only alotted 2 hours for our game. If they keep doing that we'll miss more than the end of this particular game. The hockey pre-game should have been bumped. FSN needs to apologize and say it won't ever happen again. I would also complain to Time Warner since they ARE the cable provider.

I tried calling TWC, hung on for half an hour before giving up. Doesn't it suck that for TV providers we have to choose between who we hate less (TWC, DirecTV, or Dish) rather than who's the best? Anyway, I just left a rant email for Time Warner Cable. I'm sure I'll get some canned response apologizing for my dissatisfaction with no specific reference to my thoughts and no promise to fix the issue. I absolutely detest TWC and their bureaucracy...only slightly less than DirecTV's. Never tried Dish.

they got preempted, too, not just Fox Sports OHIO

I tried over and over, finally I got a woman (in India, of course) who had no idea what I was talking about and said she could not help me. Wow, TW customer service really sucks!!!

Here is the FSN feedback web site I was able to find: http://msn.foxsports.com/feedback Pull down the response to TV and then select FSN Ohio, etc.
Then give them heck! What a ridiculous decision!

Guys, Time Warner is not to blame here. Fox Sports Ohio is in charge of the programming. TWC only provides the signal. I dislike Time Warner as much as anyone, but the anger here should be directed at the channel, not the provider.

True, but Time Warner has a big hammer. Money talks! Pressure needs to be applied on both Time Warner and FSN Ohio.

The Akron Football game was TW's fault. This one lies with FSN only. They have a lot of commercial time sold in the pre-game stuff. Not that we cared, but you probably saw they cut another game short with 9 minutes to go in the second half to put UC on. YHou just don't do that with sports. I thought we learned that with Heidi.

When you call FSN, press the number that has something to do with audio/visual, or programming. It was the one they list before the option "If you know your party's extension..." That's where I filed a complaint.

at least most of you guys got to see most of the game... im up in cleveland for winter break and it was supposed to be on here and they played some stupid poker show instead... i had to watch the entire game on gametracker and wlw online... on my tv guide it says fsnohio was playing cincinnati vs eku.... looks like fsn dropped the ball everywhere...

Simple solution, go to the game and you have no worries about Heidi (or the Blue Jackets) pre-empting the game.

Go to the game and you will not have problems like this. TV is 2 dimensional while life is 3 dimensional, the games are much better when you are there.

In this economy, I don't have the money to see every sports team I desire to watch. Besides, my corporate jet is being sold because some congressmen got a little pissy about my spending habits.
and then push 4 to get a person and then raise ****.
I was at the game. Thank God that Mick had the team so well pprepare for a tough directional school. All props to Mick.

The Blue Jackets have a bigger contract = the pregame. Maybe one day we can get more than 6k to a game and a big TV audience and we will be able to see the end of the game. We have nothing to blame but our fanbase.

FSN is a sports network. When they schedule an event they have to know games almost every time go longer than scheduled.Even hockey.Would they chop the Cavs???

I cannot stress the level of disbelief and anger that grows the more that I think about the level of DISRESPECT that the Bearcats were shown tonight!! If there is a soul that calls him or herself a Bearcat that fan feels differently.. CHECK YOUR PULSE!!!
IS THERE A SO-CALLED EXPLANATION IN THE HOUSE?
If there is then SAVE IT!
This was a smack in the face of the Bearcat fan.

I cannot see myself accepting ANY excuse short of... "I don't know, just fill in the blank"! I hate to be so callous with the "Holidays" so near to our collective doorsteps, but... someone should be severely reprimanded for this egregious display of inneptitude. (I'd never wish anyone to be fired)
Never experienced a Bearcat game like this one!!!!!!!!!!!

If UC doesn't want a game to be pre-empted, stop playing no-name teams like Southwest Eastern Kentucky or whoever it was. Seriously, a pro sports league is going to take precedence over a game like, and it should.

I'm not sure how someone can call themselves and fan of a team and not even know who they play against.
Anyways,as i stated earlier, these games are time framed and perhaps FSN didn't think it would take UC long to beat EKU either.
EVERY team in our conference plays low and mid-majors.

The fact of the matter is that FSN is a substandard network, in my opinion. A real network, such as CBS, ABC, ESPN, etc., would never have done that. Some hack who is not talented or experienced enough to cut it at one of the real networks made the decision to cut away last night, which was downright foolish, in my opinion.

Living in Indiana I figured I would get the shaft if FSN-Cincinnati or FSN- Ohio messed the game up or didn't show it. But so far have got all the games. Got lucky last night as the game was on full court also and just happened to be watching on full court when Fox cut the game off. I'd have went nuts if I had of been watching FOX! This is just one more thing the demise of UC basketball has caused. When local Fox 19 couldn't make enough money to show the games anymore I was afraid things like this would happen. Being a UC basketball has been a pain for going on 4 years now! Just when you think things are getting better then something like this happens. Have mercy on our souls.

I would be extremely pissed too if I lived in Cincy. But I live east of Columbus, and they were showing AZ St and BYU. On Fox Sports OHIO. Arizona St and BYU. I was happy to hear that our games would be on FSO this year, figuring I'd get to see most of them. Yea Right!
And, if the excuse is that the games are programmed in for time, that doesn't explain missing the end of regulation. There is never any excuse for a network leaving a close game; never. If there isn't a human that can intervene over a program, than there should be.

For the record, Bill Koch's morning article mentions it -
"Technicians lost the feed with about a minute to go in regulation because of a massive computer failure."
I was at the game and thought it odd that, late in the game, Anthony Buford was hanging out near the bench.

Just had a thought -
When calling FSN to complain, tell them to post the last two mins of regulation, plus the overtime period for free on YouTube to (help) make it up to the fans.

Well, after listening to the overtime period on 700, it turns out those of us watching FSN didn't miss much. Apparently the cats just forced overtime with an alley-dunk...delivered with one tenth of a second left on the clock. No big deal. (sob)

Never miss a chance to turn a thread into a rant against Mick. Nice Job. Did you also post on the Tennessee board on their rousing defeat of Belmont?

Seriously, a pro sports league is going to take precedence over a game like, and it should. Doesn't matter who the opponent is, a reputable sports network knows that sporting events do not always follow a time schedule. Anyway I enjoyed the end of the game down at the arena!
