I'd rather load up on 5 star recruits than 2 or 3 star players, even if some are here for 1 or 2 years. As far as the guys that dont live up to their expectations, that happens sometimes. Usually they (5* players) turn out to darn good players.

Im sick of the one and done's. They should just get rid of that rule because a lot of the guys that play a year of college basketball never wanted to come to college in the first place. Maybe its just me, but I find it kinda annoying.

Agreed. People can say "ratings don't matter", but in general, a large percentage of 5 star player are impact guys and the star players for their programs.

Some classes are better than others. It is obvious that last years freshman class was 10 times the class that the current crop is. Last year's top prospects were ready to come in and be all americans immediately and go pro. The same cannot be said for this years class; however I think it is safe to say that 90% of these 5 star guys will be stars on their team or stars on a national level when it is all said and done.

Unless you have a top 10 team that a 5 star recruit can put over the top, then I'd rather have 3 and 4 star recruits that stick around 4 years. 5-star recruits leaving early can really decimate a program.

Yes. Very few programs are able to reload w/ 4- & 5-star recruits each year. The best option then is to recruit 3- & 4-star guys who may noy be the best all-around basketball players, but are athletic, intelligent, and coachable.

Jrue Holiday looked great last night with a 12 10 and 5 with 3 steals performance.
