My mind is working a little slow . . . I did not realize that Jared was Danny Rains' son. (Bearcat Cap. 1978, played on Chicago Bears 1985 Super Bowl Team and was fullback for Tony Dorsett in High School).

Danny was an outstanding player. It will be a real treat to watch Jared.

Thanks for the links, guys. Looks like a very good pickup with huge upside. Why only a 1 star though? Good stats in a tough HS football area, decent if not blazing speed, strong, agile.

I really feel like B K has a blueprint and is building a championship team brick by brick.

This is a huge pick-up. This kid will most likely Redshirt, bulk up in the UC weight-room and come out of nowherein 2009 to surprise some opponents who did not recruit him, namely Pitt.

We stole him out of their backyard, the same way we got his father out of their back-yard.

I am hapy for him and his family and welcome him into the UC football family.

I understand Scout is revising their ratings, so I don't think the stars mean anything yet. As an example, Dominick Britt dropped down to one star: he's one of the top 20 players in the state and should be at least a three star after they've finished their revision.
