The fact this was revised means it previously existed in some form, although I am unaware of anyone who has ever seen it. No jeans or shorts in the summer? What are they going to do, arrest half of the faculty? Crap this means they probably have a normal year dress code. Can't wait for the press release of that!

Every boat must rise, Jon. Apparently that includes the dress code. :)

hmmm, the university is losing millions, but they want you to not wear shorts in the summer?

My guess is this must have a financial benefit to the University somewhere.

Maybe they want to weed out employees by "sweating" the details.

:D :D :D :D

I changed the title of the thread from "You gotta be kidding me" to the current one.
Although, I understand why you would want to title it that.

I wonder if point 5 is intended for lab work or walking in general around campus. Would'nt want an OSHA reportable injury from tripping over that crack in the "greenspace" caused by the lack of rain.

No shorts!, guess there must be a financial windfall to pay for the air conditioning (I almost couldn't type that from laughing so hard!)

Simply because I am apparently not as smart as the proponent of this dictum, why would you have a Page 2 when the dictum was completed on the first page and there are no attachments? Just wondering.......

Hilarious! Never heard of a college having a dress code for its employees. Wonder if it applies to UC basketball staff?

They've always had a dress code, but it's typically been left up to departments to enforce it (or not).

Here's a link to the previous summer guideline, which wasn't much different than the new revised one.

I read the dress code, and I consulted with an english teacher (my wife), It says that as long as the shorts or jeans have the UC logo on them you can wear them. So jut draw the UC logo on your jeans or buy some shorts with the logo.

Never mind the dress code - a more important topic is "What ever happened to Carey Hoffman?"
