PU beats Syracuse.
Some on this board need to stick their feet in their mouth. :D
As I stated at the time, Providence is better than people think.

Not to take anything away from their win,but Cuse was missing Rautins and Onuaku barely played due to some injury.
Still a solid win for them.

Shoot FSU isnt looking that bad. This team doesnt have a bad lose. Although Providence at home is the closest thing to such.

Or Syracuse not as good as some think.
No excuses. The L to Providence at home was avoidable.

Not a bad loss yet.
Xavier 18-2
Marquette 18-2
UConn 19-1
Providence 14-6
Florida St. 16-5
Memphis 17-3
Only team in that list that might be on the bubble for the Big Dance is Florida State.

Florida states rpi is top 20. I know they don't use that as much for selection, but the acc is damn good and I don't see them being out of it. 3 of their losses are against top 10 teams and then losses at northwestern (not a good loss) and at miami (not a bad loss). If they get to 21 wins it will be tough to keep them out, but they have some tough games left.

Florida State lost to #6 UNC on a last second shot. No bad losses this year and there probably won't be any...we are in the Big East!

i don't think anyone questions providence or for that matter fla state. the frustration has been in how lousy our offensive performances were in those games and the xavier and memphis games as well. there easily could have been 2 or 3 wins out of those games if we get any kind of offensive performance. as the last two games illustrate, it helps when you get to the free throw line more than 5 times in a game.

As I stated at the time, Providence is better than people think. Put it in context. Syracuse was no where near full strength. Onuaku only played 15 minutes and didn't get off a shot. He has knee problems, and can barely go.
Providence can fill it up. They shot better than 50% against Syracuse. But, it still doesn't change my position that UC has to beat Providence at home.
