Unfortunately UK is pretty middle of the road this year. I wouldn't hang my strength of schedule hopes on them. You're sure to be disappointed if that's the case.

Kentucky has actually be a pretty decent team this year. They were a 6 seed in Lunardi's most recent bracketology and were rated 25 in Pomeroy Rankings going into yesterday's game.

HA I already got my thread deleted, but seriously Alan Cutler has got to be losing his mind. Biggest Kentucky Blowhard EVER! I wish he would go away and stay in Lexington

I agree completely! I have no idea how that guy has a radio show. No matter what he talks about it always goes back to UK or the Bengals. It could be the morning after the Bearcats knock of the number 1 team in the nation and he would be talking about Marvin Lewis.

Let's not turn this into a "Cutler Bashing" thread. Keep this on topic please.

I dont know how much that will really help us, but seeing UK lose is always a plus

MSU was one of the last teams in the tournament according to Lunardi only a couple weeks ago. With this win, they will get back into the conversation, which will help UC's resume.

If that is the case it really shows how the RPI is being used less and less to judge who makes it. UK is 68 and MSU is 106 according to collegerpi.com

I think people have began to catch on to how flawed the RPI is.

Miss State isa good win, but one we should have won. I think we are about the same level as UK. THat shows how they have fallen and how good of a job Mick has been able to do coming from nothing.

I agree - we are about equal to UK this year - they are 1-1 against the Big East this year - beat WV there and narrowly lost to Louisville there

The whole SEC is pretty ho-hum this year

I don't know how you can say that we're equal to Kentucky. UC beat Miss. St pretty good, Miss St pounded Kentucky. UC's worst loss is to a good Florida State squad, Kentucky lost to VMI, which is considered a bad loss. I know there are people who refuse to give Mick credit, but UC is doing a pretty good job this year.

I'd love to find that UK blog that someone linked a few weeks ago where the blog writer was talking about what UK would do in the Big East. Might be singing a different tune about now.

NEWS FLASH!!! Kentucky hasn't been good since 2004.

NEWS FLASH, Kentucky is considered a potential NCAA Tournament team. Also to continue the NEWSFLASH, with Mississippi State's win, and a UC win against Notre Dame, UC's RPI will jump up considerably. I couldn't care less if Kentucky hasn't been good since 2004 (even though I seem to remember them in the NCAAs every year since 2004), but that is still a quality win for Mississippi State.

No question. West Virginia would hammer them today, and look how much WVU is struggling in the Big East!
