Found a VHS tape in a drawer over the weekend, popped it in -- turns out it's a highlight reel, with Huggins intro, of the Final Four season. It's only about 15 minutes long, but a great watch. But it also left me with some questions, mainly the "whatever happened to?" kind.
Anyone have any idea where Jeff Scott ended up? Erik Martin? Rock?
Everyone else, we pretty much know, but those guys?

Eric Martin is on Huggs staff at WVU.
Jeff Scott is in town. I have seen him several times. I don't know what kind of a job he has, but he lives here.
No clue on Rock.

UPDATE: I've tracked down Rock. He's got four kids of his own, one about ready to graduate, and he's coaching basketball and baseball down in Florida.
From his emails: "I've been coaching High School for four years. I do Basketball and Baseball and having agreat time teaching the kids. I have one getting ready to walk this year and three others still in school."
"The boys are playing baseball and the youngest girl is too plus dance. My Wife Kelly is busy at work an doing very well."
As for his team: "Well, In it's first year we had lots of headaches. This is the fourth year. We are getting stronger every year."
Good to hear. He doesn't have a copy of that highlight tape, so I'm going to send a copy down.

Anybody remember that Reicheneker tried to renege on his verbal to UC but Huggins talked him out of it. He wanted to play somewhere in Texas (Tech, maybe). But he turned out having a better run at UC in 1991 and 1992.

Hey Dave, I don't know if you still write in the UC Digest magazine or not (can't remember the exact title) but I always enjoyed your columns.
I have a somewhat similiar story. I found a tape at a yard sale, actually it was a box of tapes for $5. One of the tapes was of the final four season with UC beating Memphis for the third time in the Great Midwest final, later they would beat them again in the tourney.
Really neat to watch it. There was some type of live feed broadcast where I don't think there were any commercials and you could hear what the announcers were saying the entire time. I love that tape, UC came out hard on Memphis and it looked like it would be a blow out, that press was just killing Memphis but they got it together and it went to the very end with UC winning. Nickey getting teed up. Great memories.
