Single game football tickets went on sale today. I used the "Buy Tickets Here!" link on gobearcats.com to see what type of seats are available for Oregon State. The website returned two seats in section 122 about 14 rows up. That is on the 50 yard line on the home side of the stadium.

I considered getting tickets today (would be my first ever Bearcat football game) but the times stink. I wanted to take my wife but getting a baby sitter for late evening is a lot harder than during the day and since the wife isn't going to go once the weather is cold (she is an X grad ;) ) I doubt I cold persuade her to go to the later games. It's amazing that every game is at 7 or 7:30 at night. My only hope is that the Louisville game is a day game.
UC draws better at night, and most of the fan base has been pushing for more night games. Ohio State also plays a lot of noon and 3:30 games (thus making smaller crowds for UC games during the day). Unfortunately you are in the minority on game times.
I'm very happy to only have the 2 early season week day games. It is MUCH easier for me to get to games on Saturday than Thursday, Friday, and Sunday nights.

One game will be on a Saturday afternoon for sure: Homecoming. I looked all over UC's web site and could find no mention of it. However, traditionally, Homecoming is held in October. The Cats have one home game in October, versus U of L. That game has the potential to be a sell-out. The Cards travel exceptionally well, especially when they think they're pretty good.
Temperatures in mid-October usually are quite nice for football, so go ahead and buy two tickets for your wife and yourself. And, since it's Louisville, get on it early.

I can assure you, the Louisville game is not going to be any earlier than 7:00 p.m. for Homecoming. The game is expected to get big media hype and I am a source close to this info as I work on the Homecoming committee (current undergraduate at UC). So, sorry to burst any bubbles but we have to do what we can to get all the exposure possible for UC Athletics, and not be dueling with teams like "The Losers in Columbus." If I hear any different, I will update you.
I would guess that during league play several UC games will be played in the early afternoon. First because most games after the first week of October are played in the daytime because it is starting to get cold. Secondly the Big East TV package. I would bet that the UConn game and possibly another game will be picked up for the noon kickoff. It just depends how many games ESPN/ABC picks up for television.
By the way I have been to a few early September day games in Nippert.... pretty hot. I want night games in September ALWAYS!

What will really draw a crowd is if TJ and Ocho Cinco show up, being alums and all.
