I understand that Darnell Wilks is set to play in tonights Deveroes game. Its scheduled to start at 8:30pm, but the games often run late.
Originally, the plan was to have him play on Saturday for the first time. The Slats team plays at 12N on this Saturday and Sunday.

Hey Mike, is McClain going to play this Saturday and/or Sunday? Thanks.

No. McClain wont be in town till late July at the earliest. I don't foresee him in the DSL.
Wilks is a long and lanky rubber band of a player. While the crowd enjoyed the between the legs dunks in the layup...I mean - dunking line, I liked his court vision as demonstrated by some good looking passes.

It sounds like he will continue the Bearcat tradition of high flyers which is always entertaining. His high school numbers indicate that he can find the open man. Where should we expect him to play? He is 6'8 but if he can pass that well will he be a 3?

He's always been viewed as a 3. He isn't bulky and strong enough to be a 4 and does have the combination of athleticism and developing skills for the 3. This is promising for this yr's team in which the 3 is wide open at this time, probably moreso than any other position.

Alright thanks, I am really excited for Wilks and Mitchell this year. I really think these are two freshman that will be able to contribute early in their careers. I think that McClain will be able to contribute but he will need more time to develop.

Wilks went 0 for 5 on the night from the field, going along with 2 rebounds and 4 fouls.

check out wilks fouls, how many minutes did he play?who was he guarding?
My question would be "how did 5 players whom I don't recognize their names beat a team of UC's "finest". Is BBQ that good, or Slats in that poor of condition?

I didn't see the game but I would say they scored more points?
It looks like they shot considerably better, got to the foul line and did not foul.

Even more troublesome is -- to my understanding -- Goodies had no subs?!

At least 3 of the Goodie's players are Div I scholarship players - Walker, Anderson, and Hayes.

C.J. Anderson, I believe, is a transfer to Xavier. He's originally from Winton Woods H.S. in Forest Park. He's a very good player. B.J. Walker is a former point guard at Xavier, and, was pretty decent also. Not sure about the rest of them.

I think BJ Walker is the 6-9 PF (from Mount Healthy HS) who played at Nebraska?

Goodies is one of the teams tied for 1st in the DSL, with a 6-1 record (along with Brick Street, the Miami U team). Slats is mostly made up of frosh who don't play as a team yet.

I am not sure I understand you very well, but from what I can make out of your message between the na na's and the baba's I think you mean BJ Grove.

BJ Walker went to the U of Buffalo, then to a JC in Nebraska then to the U of Nebraska and finished at Oklahoma City College.
I doubt Huggins has ever spoken to him unless he did an unofficial to campus visit while in HS.
