UC gets UConn, Pitt and St. John's as home and home games

I think the schedule is pretty favorable to UC. If they can make it through the early part, there are 4 winnable away games late in the season. Also, this same pattern is in the home side of the schedule too.
So, if they are not too demoralized from going to UConn, U of L, Georgetown and Pitt; and facing UConn, Marquette, and Pitt at home - they could have a lot of momentum heading into tournament play.
Also, they could be heading into Morgantown with a good head of speed.
I'm predicting 9-9 in the Big East!

Based on last years records (not perfect but used often) we have the second toughest schedule. Georgetown has the toughest, their away schedule record (toughest) is 80-64, their home is favorable (least toughest) at 64-80. Cincinnati 77-67 Away (2nd), 74-70 Home (T5th).

I wish the BIG E would pay more attention to rivalries when scheduling H&H's.

Excellent schedule with UConn, St. John's, and Pittsburgh being played home and home. Traghese did well not to have W.Va. at 5/3 Arena this coming season.

Did well for whom? You think we're going to take a beating this year Al?
Delaying the game a year or so isn't going to make a difference in the ruckus that will ensue.

I see the list of who we play at home and away but where are you getting the dates. I don't think they have been announced yet.

My mistake. I assumed they were in order, they are, but not by date, but alphabetically. Sorry about that.

I am going to wait until the dates of the games are announced before I make my predictions. I think this team will be miles ahead of where it is from the beginning of the year to the end. If the the schedule is easier towards the beginning of the season, I could see them winning more, if harder towards the beginning, could see them losing more.

The dates matter. But I don't think many fully appreciate how tough it's going to be to have to play an 18 game BE schedule. Combine that with at least five difficult OC games, and at this point I'd see 17-18 wins regular season as an accomplishment for this team.

From what I have seen, it looks as though the 'Cats will play a total of 29 regular season games. The 18 BE games plus Memphis, Fairfield, Coastal Carolina and a four team tournanment at home. They will be on the road at Xavier, N.C. State, Illinois State, UAB and play Miami at U.S. Bank which works out to 11 OOC games. Are they going to schedule another game to make it 30 even or do they play only 29 this year?

I think a couple years ago the NCAA reduced the number of games to 27 from 28
but would allow you to play in a tournament which would not count toward the limit. So currently ; not counting the three games we play in our tourney; we are only at 26 so I think we can still add one more game.

Who decides the mirror games? Is it the marketing group of the Big East, looking for the best national games?
Our natural mirror games would be the local ones - U of L, WVU and Pitt - love to see that. But we get UConn and St Johns and then Pitt? Does UC have any voice in these matters? Surely we could schedule better than this?
