I see Kirkland is playing for Innovative Marketing in the summer league. Anyone seen him in action?

I noticed that, too. He's playing for Innovative Marketing. Looks like he had a good game yesterday with 15 pts, 4 rebounds, and 3 assists. Hopefully he's regained form & is finding success.

kirkland was a 6-8 point forward that played shooting guard,
are there any kirklands on this team?

Capt. Kirk could play all 5 positions - no one like that on 2008 team.

My issue with Kirkland is that he did not seem to fully exploit the talents he was blessed with. Overall, my rating on a 1 to 5 scale of his career would be a 3. There were some games that would rate as a 5 and there were some that would rate as a 1. And if I remember correctly, he was a bit outspoken about how he should be utilized.

Keith,
I agree with you regarding Capt. Kirk. He showed moments of brillance. For example, as a freshman he got in the Crosstown Shootout and in the first few minutes he was in, he owned David West. He was posting up on him offensively and was all over him defensively. West got pulled because Kirkland had completely taken him out of the game, especially mentally. West was on the verge of a technical he was so frustrated.
Then Kirk just stopped doing what he was doing and started settling for lazing 3 point shots.
Unfortunately, he never really seemed to progress beyond that through his junior year.
Then in the U Conn game of his senior year, he demonstrates all the potential he had in a a brilliant first half only to tear his ACL. The big question then was whether it was another sporadic glimpse of brilliance or whether he had actually matured and developed. With the changes in coaches there was some hope that AK was able to coach Kirk differently and he was responding to a different coaching style.
Too bad we don't know the answer to that question.

I was hoping Sikes could have been last year's Kirkland. Not even close.

Wilks is about 6-8 and 200. White was about 6-7 and 190. Their games are similar (per Mick Cronin).

Highly unlikely Darius Miller picks UC - Kentucky, Louisville, Florida, or Illinois.
