4. Oregon State: If not for Jackson, receiver/returner Sammie Stroughter might be the most dangerous player in the conference. Beavers could win 10 again but will have to do it outscoring opponents.

I know that the defense is going to keep the cats in games this year, if not flat out carry them at times. I feel more confident about the Ore St game with the above comments and wanted to get a feel on if I am in alignment with other Bearcat fans.

The defense will miss only slightly, Trevor Anderson's decision to leave. There are many talented guys, and a nice rotation being used. I think 2.5-4 sacks a game average over the season will be nice, to go along with 1.6 picks a game and .75 fumble recoveries on average. Take the ball away, stop the run, and stop the pass. Bring back 2 80 yard TD's against Pitt and a couple other long plays, and this defense will win games for you, if the offense protects the ball.

Am I fooling myself? What do you guys think?

There's a strong likelihood that the OR St offense and return team will be a tad less explosive than expected. The WR/PR mentioned in the article, Sammie Stroughter, has missed 10 practices while he battles some sort of personal problem. It is believed that he will not play this season.
