4. Oregon State: If not for Jackson, receiver/returner Sammie Stroughter might be the most dangerous player in the conference. Beavers could win 10 again but will have to do it outscoring opponents.
I know that the defense is going to keep the cats in games this year, if not flat out carry them at times. I feel more confident about the Ore St game with the above comments and wanted to get a feel on if I am in alignment with other Bearcat fans.
The defense will miss only slightly, Trevor Anderson's decision to leave. There are many talented guys, and a nice rotation being used. I think 2.5-4 sacks a game average over the season will be nice, to go along with 1.6 picks a game and .75 fumble recoveries on average. Take the ball away, stop the run, and stop the pass. Bring back 2 80 yard TD's against Pitt and a couple other long plays, and this defense will win games for you, if the offense protects the ball.
