It appears the Henry brothers are staying with their commitment to KU. Good news for us I suppose, but I said yesterday that I didn't think it would make any difference with LS. Here's the link:

Reading the story, I just marvel at how the face of college basketball recruiting has changed. The things coaches have to put up with these days is unbelievable if you want to attract the top players.

This had NO impact on Lance's commitment to UC because Lance signed a binding LOI.

I didn't think he signed a binding LOI. I don't think he could have at this time. The signing period has passed. What he did sign was a financial aid agreement with UC, which I understand is not binding on the player. I may be wrong.

London Cat, it is my understanding as well that scholly papers are non-binding. From what I know, nothing is binding until he actually enrolls and/or classes start.

I am not an expert in this at all...
Although I was under the impression that the papers LS signed for "finanicial aid" somehow mean something. I do not believe you can apply for financial aid at multiple schools, or something to that effect.
I could be 100% wrong.

Lance didnt sign anything binding.
You cant sign LOI at this point. I think there was a thread about that.

No LOI's can be signed after May 26th, 2009. After that its a financial grant and scholarship offer which is only binding on the school.

It is binding however as soon as Lance steps into a classroom at UC from what I understand. Here's hoping he takes a summer course!

Correct - the scholarship papers aren't binding. Once he attends class, he is a Bearcat.

Does uc still have 3 sessions in the summer?you used to be able to take a 1 month class every day for a few hrs.
Note that I doubt he does this.
