Kicker

The Enquirer posted an article about UC's struggling freshman kicker. It looks like UC has put their hopes in a converted soccer player who's only had a year of football experience. Anyone else concerned?

With any new kicker you have to wait and see how they respond to real competition. Certainly in Rogers case he is very inexperienced but from watching him in the spring game he has a stronger leg than any of our recent kickers which hopefully helps with the new kickoff rule. If he can handle the pressure we might also have an effective weapon for long range field goal attempts . The trade off is that we probably will not have the consistency of the past few years but hopefully our offense will be effective at getting the ball into the end zone and we won't need to settle for three points very often.
