This isn't intended to open old wounds. I'm only bringing this up because Bryant is a key player in the BE.

I think we all remember Warren's little "accident". I don't think we have alot of room to talk.
Unless that's the memory you are talking about.

Do you expect the WVU coaches to be riding with players every time they get in a car???

Amazing how people will defend someone until their last breath. Some people just don't get it and they never will. Really is sad, people should expect better. It is not about any one incident it is about a series and a history of them. Some day something else big is going to happen that you won't be able to hide your eyes anymore. It is just a matter of time.
I truly wish things would change for him. I think he is a wonderful coach just not a good citizen. I think he also has a big heart, which might be part of the problem as well. The guy does an amazing amount of charity work that goes unnoticed. However, I gaurantee both of those gaurds will be playing for the team come time for the season.

No, just as I didn't expect coach Cronin to get into a car every time with Warren.

Huggs does do a great amount of charity for different communities.
However, back to the original post, if you look into any and all programs, you will find similar cases. I do not think that we should focus too much on WVU.

This is relevant to UC since he is a key player at WVU and now they are looking at playing Ebanks or Butler at point? Butler would be like playing Vaughn in my opinion and his A/TO ratio is very appealing to opponents (60/81).
With all of that being said I doubt he will be out all year and doubt he will not be on the team for Big East play.

Thank you, thank you, thank you. I have been extremely happy that we have actually been talking about basketball recently and not heading down that same old road!

what a great nickname for a pointguard truck is. goes back to the days of taron barker and michael horton.
i'd prefer a power forward be nicknamed truck, like jack jennings tearing it up in the deveroes summer league.

I would love to have him hit a few winning shots so that we can use "The mail truck always delivers baby!" Something like that! Must be something cool in there, I just don't have the time to figure it our right now.

"Suspended indefinitely."
Who wants to bet that he'll be returned to the team about a week before practice starts?

Lame. Go back to the WVU board.

Shaun good point. Still it is too bad that the some of the comments were not about how the loss of WVU pg will impact them and shape the BE conference.
Isn't there a way the mods and root out the agitators on both sides?

Hope you aren't numbering me among the agitators. I was making an observation about college atletics in general, not about WVU in particular.
"Indefinite suspension" is college sports is "You need to sit until the heat is off." As soon as it is, or the season starts, back on the team you go, "having learned your lesson."
We did something similar with Alvin Mitchell. About 12 or so years ago, Tom Osborne did ti at Nebraska with several players involved in domestic battery (incuding Mike Rozier, I believe).

PM and tell me who you're including as an agitator.

Absurd. The WVU coaches cannot control what every players does every minute of the day and night.

No, just as I didn't expect coach Cronin to get into a car every time with Warren.
Exactly. Coaches cannot control every single minute of their players' lives.

That makes 4 arrests this year for Mazzula and Bryant. Nice. They may actually have to sit out that exhibition game against Trinidad & Tobago's traveling team.:D
However, I gaurantee both of those gaurds will be playing for the team come time for the season.
I wished there was a way (and there is, but no one will do it probably)
that one can make a prediction section/vault, for lack of a better word, and only
Keith / Brent / Mike had "the key ie; password" to open it and then divulge who said
what someone was going to say before they said it, and share it or "unlock
it" so the group could read it in real time.
I KNEW someone was going to post what happened over there and say "I'm
not trying to start etc. etc." but in reality they knew exactly what they were doing *OR* what was going to transpire because they posted that....I was incorrect though on who posted it, *but*
I was absolutely 100% correct in the first one to take the shot at Bob when and if, that post was made.<shaking my head>
*THAT*...is exactly what gets the crap started. Number one, it has/had
nothing to do with UC hoops to begin with. If I, or someone else posted
"that Huggs is doing exactly the same great job on his recruiting this season
and you can GUARANTEE 24 wins or more" etc. etc. the thread more than
likely would have been deleted or locked because it had nothing to do with UC hoops, with the last word/post ending it
with a bash at Huggs and the W.Va. program.
I'll end it on this. Why shouldn't Truck or Joe play? If BR or DV or Wright gets
in trouble, I fully expect the same poster to say the same thing, but about
UC. Prediction...lol....it would NEVER be said. Lets keep everything on topic
please.

"For the second time this week West Virginia sophomore point guard Darryl "Truck" Bryant is in trouble for his alleged involvement with a hit-and-run."
Wow, not good. I say he's a goner.

MKay, so we'll play that card, that's fair. Anytime something happens
positive for the W.Va. program or Huggs himself, I will post it here for
everyone to read because it is relevant, because Bob or whoever is a
key player to the possible standings in the BEast which we just happen
to be in. <rolling my eyes>
Can't have it both ways. <sigh>

If I recall correctly, when eric devendorf was suspended from syracuse, there was a thread on here as well. When there is a major development with one of our conference foes, it should be mentioned. If you are just going to start a personal PR campaign for Huggs and WVU, then prepare to get banned.

If you go to the General Forum you will see topics on Tenn, XU, t0$u, UConn, etc. and that is just the first page!
By other members talking about Huggs, it is just reopening and rehashing an old subject. A lot of people have already let go! They appreciate what he has done for the program, but now he coaches on a rival team in our conference!
As wise men say...'Quit beating a dead horse'.
